  1. Past hour
  2. Hey pretty sure there's a movie coming out soon along the lines of this!
  3. No. There isn't any single scheme that will work in the NFL if you use it all the time. Coaches and systems are too good now for that. They will find and exploit the weakness. Being multiple and varied is the key to succeeding in today's NFL. They can be used as a PART of a broader scheme but not as the entire scheme itself. Far too simplistic in today's NFL.
  4. The difference here, as opposed to traditional labor unions is that there is not an alternative option for the players. If there was another big time, high paying league who could take these players, then it would really be ON. So if teams really take it seriously and "make an example" out of players who won't "submit", those players would be SOL and have to take a traditional career route or play a different sport. Even the first and second round guys need it more than the league needs them. Yes, there is scarcity in high end talent, but there is far more scarcity of jobs in this sector nationwide. So the teams will always have the power.
  5. I would love to see it. I think it could work as a change of pace for a few series or a quarter, maybe two. NFL defenses would eventually figure out how to stop it. I mean, Army and Navy run over, through and around most schools they play against and they have substandard athletes on offense. So, why not?!?!
  6. Yankees games was excellent as well, except the losing part.
  7. Now I close my eyes And I wonder why I don't despise Now all I can do Love what was once So alive and new But it's gone from your eyes I'd better realize Eyes without a face (Les yeux sans visage) Eyes without a face (Les yeux sans visage) Eyes without a face Got no human grace You're eyes without a face Such a human waste You're eyes without a face And now it's getting worse
  8. lol
  9. Just finished watching the Padres beat the Dodgers in an excellent game. Several clutch defensive plays and great pitching from both teams. The outcome was in doubt for the entire game up until the last pitch. San Diego has a great crowd. Fun, fun game. Padres bullpen is so sick. Morejon, Estrada, Adam, Miller Suarez……..seriously?
  10. Building a team includes trades and free agents. I never said Peyton, you did.
  11. Oh does it? When he drafted 1st overall and got Bruce , Peyton, Thurman in what round? Andre in what round? Beebee? Now the real fun, what round did he draft Lofton or Bisquit? Get your facts straight. You want to argue Harrison or Freeney or Wayne? Now you have a case. Otherwise you are a Bills drunk fool. Later picks DO COUNT, it’s the only reason he’s employed. My issue is the lack or elite talent. Nobody would question him if he was a Roseman type who was hitting on all the 1st round picks, the problem is he wastes pick after pick when the pool is deep. Don’t tell me you are an elite talent evaluator when you have Elam 5 rounds higher than Benford when Benford has the job 2 weeks into training camp.
  12. Dodgers vs Padres weekend is turning into a great rivalry. Good baseball. I never heard Beavers name until this season and he came outta nowhere. Looks like he has a nice swing
  13. I don't believe I ever said you were, though I can see how you saw it that way. I was more refencing the idea of what's going on in the topic.
  14. HAHAHAHA... Thurman, Bruce, Andre, LOfton, Beebe, Conlon, Bisquit and others say your wrong
  15. Today
  16. Look, these are people who went from “Hillary Clinton is eating children in a pizza parlor basement” to “it’s no big deal that Donald Trump is a pedophile. The fact that they are now going from “Socialism is bad” to “it’s a good thing for the government to take ownership of companies” isn’t surprising when you recognize that they are just dumb lemmings following whatever they are told.
  17. the nfl would absolutely love the ratings boost of a sanders sideshow. It’d be Tebow 2.0 with a mediocre qb that’s completely polarizing a GM would not. A head coach even less. it makes no sense to say the league directed teams to avoid him
  18. So his later picks don’t count? You only get credit for first round picks? Draft is a projection game. Those with elite athleticism go earlier cause they project easier and have a higher probability of hitting (also floor/ceilings come into consideration). All that is a way to say yeah you’ll have good players that go late. Every GM passed up on these players multiple times. Do you hold that against them (every GM needing a corner must stink for missing CB). Your original point was no elite players from Beane (even went as far as saying no one believed Spencer brown was top 5). Beane isn’t perfect but he’s def top 10 if not top 5. Thanks. Love Spencer Brown. Dawkins is fun but I love watching Brown. He hooked me as a rookie against the dolphins when a DB was talking smack and he put his hand at his chin and acted like he couldn’t see him. Can’t wait to see his prime in the coming years.
  19. Even worse in the 1980s, wasn't there known problem? Known for electrical issues and sparks? They were blowing up the second the blower switch was turned on. Why it's important we don't lock hazmat barges through with pleasure craft... Say with 7,000 tons of ammonium nitrate... Never know when one of you nuts will throw a spark! 💥 💥 there goes the whole southeast side of Chicago.😉
  20. There’s a few more on this earth…. https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/analyst-recognizes-bills-bookend-as-one-nfl-top-performers-up-front https://billswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bills/2025/02/21/pro-football-focus-buffalo-bills-spencer-brown-top-101-nfl-players-2024/79789977007/
