NFL to Have Vote That Would Alter Playoff Seeding
BarleyNY replied to Doc Brown's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m with you. If you’re going to have divisions and play every team in them twice, then being a division winner has to mean something substantial. Currently it does. If you want to eliminate or substantially reduce the advantage winning a division gets a team, then just eliminate the divisions. I’d have no issue with every team playing every team in their conference once plus 2 or 3 games against teams in the opposing conference. Then it’s just records and tiebreakers. -
Purdy and 49’ers extension. 5 years 265 million
Mister Defense replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Okay, thanks for the info, clarification. But for that one game I am not saying the comeback was the result of a remarkable performance by Goff, only that the one game should never be used as a seminal example to define a player. Even great, HOF quality quarterbacks have those kind of games, as Kelly did. And it was clearly not a common thing for Goff last year, or over the last several years. He has not had a lot of interceptions and has one of the lowest int % rates in NFL history. And the rest of his stats clearly speak for themselves. It would be like taking one of Michael Jordan's worst games statistically, and making the case that he is not that good, over payed, and using that one awful game to make the case. Almost no one would do that because it would be completely illogical, a red herring. (I would never define your career by your worst game, fumbling the ball on a punt return against the Browns in 2022 to just hand the Browns that game, 6-3. But I was really PO'd at you, I have to admit! Almost over it now though.) -
Mando would agree 🤓

Keon Coleman success by route - Not pretty
SoonerBillsFan replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
What does Steve Smith know? (Sarcasm). Some fans will back bad picks and players long after they are gone and I don't get it. Coleman has had his "welcome to the NFL" Season. We will see if he improves,I don't see him being what many envisioned. Sometime they are what they are. -
Wow, this is a great breakdown by Steve Smith. Love it. He’s clearly on the same wavelength as @Kirby Jackson and @GunnerBill! “Street Route” Coleman!

Well, Homer did at least 🤷

Yep. Already they’re planning on selling more games to the streaming services thereby reducing the number of games we’re “entitled” to watch via the broadcast outlets. Our household currently has Amazon Prime and YouTube TV (plus Sunday Ticket). My wife and I aren’t gonna just keep adding streaming services. As others have said upthread, it’s not a matter of being able to afford them. It’s a matter of expressing your values by how you spend your money.

To Coleman's credit if you look at his under center or play action receiving numbers they really pop. Catching close to 70 percent of his passes. He also has great numbers on 1st and 2nd down. Averaging 27 yards per reception on 1st downs and almost 16 on second. Shotgun and 3rd down are not his thing. My 2 second analysis would be if the defense thinks we might run the ball he is far more effective than known passing downs. They need to work in more of the higher percentage stuff (slants and screens) which he can do, to go along with the big boy, jump ball stuff they force to him. I also think a lot of the end zone jump balls they throw to him are pretty badly thrown and there's a lot of room for improvement in getting him the ball. Is he going to break out and be some kind of star even in perfect conditions? I'm not going to try and sell that but everyone seems to love Pickens and he had 900 yards and 3 TD's last year. I think Coleman can do something in that realm. Could we use a speed guy to change things up. Absolutely I'd agree with that but who are you signing, who are you sitting, and which plays would they be on the field? I'm guessing the "speed" guy wouldn't be on the field that often.

Appreciate the advice on how to navigate this place!! I’m learning. I assumed it was self explanatory. As soon as @BillsFan130 asked, I elaborated. Maybe it wasn’t clear. It’s in the first response located on page 2. The question was asked 14 minutes after the initial post. That was responded to 22 minutes later. -
Wonder who took the video ? "unfriend"

Your post is one of the most brilliant and awesome ones I’ve read on this message board. I particularly enjoyed the bolded. Too effin’ funny. It’s also very poignant and shows your wonderful sense of responsibility.

That guy… I tell ya… Instead of wasting time as an amateur comedian, maybe he should spend more time working on his golf game… 🤔… 🤔… I’m not certain that I have that quite right… 🤷♂️

The Bills are the only team currently favored to win all 17 games
Figster replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not just good, exciting to watch good. You would think with more of a balanced O run and pass the Bills might not be as explosive looking. Not when you have James Cook. Some bet with their heads and others with their hearts. The sporting world loves them some Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. -
What year did you graduate from slu?

"Rig a presidential election" Holy Moley. He said that out loud. -
I'm sure you're right, just as I'm sure the NFL is capable of suicide via greed. there's a dollar figure above which I'll just stop watching, at first on principle and eventually bc I'll lose interest. I do pretty well but I'm not going to pay $100 a game to watch it on TV, and I expect a lot of people would feel the same way. I'm already at the point where I'll start watching the game an hour late and skip the 65 % of the broadcast that's commercials, at least until I catch up in the 4th quarter
