If that’s the case, I’m on pace to have been posting for 400 years by Christmas. Too much pride

Selective Justice: The Hypocrisy of MAGA
leh-nerd skin-erd replied to Homelander's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
While it seems you may have missed the intended spirit of my reply, I understand what you're saying. Your perspective is different than mine, and divergent opinions make the world an interesting place. I would like to offer some additional perspective to clarify my thoughts: In response to my post, you said this: Where did I say I look down on painters. I didn't say that, though I guess I can see why you feel I inferred it. In your original post, you said: "Had some poor ***** painter..." and later described that individual as "...someone so stupid". On this message board, asterisks typically replace words that are considered derogatory, uncivil or offensive. You defined the individual by his/her occupation, seemingly suggesting his occupation was relevant to being poor and *****. I was uncertain if his/her being a painter was as important as him/her being poor, *****, or "stupid". So, I asked. Thank you for clarifying. As for 'creating angles', again, I think we're on the wrong track here. In your initial post, you asked "I mean how do you talk to someone so stupid." In response to this query, I shared some basic strategies on how you might talk to someone given how you positioned the interaction. In spite of your characterizations, I feel comfortable I have a pretty solid skillset based on my life experience, understanding of course that seeking positive continuous improvement is part of the journey. Remember, make respect your default. The rest follows. -

One thing I have noticed from many years of observing the NFL and professional sports is that the media, the GMs, the players... they're all people. And they do people things. -
TBone and NJSue provided us some hilarious donnybrooks in posts back in those days. I don't miss the endless RJ/Flutie debates. It make me feel reeeeal old!

Andy Reid, of course.

I think Rivers will get in. In order for Josh to do it this way (no SB), he would to produce at or above his current level for 10 more seasons.

We have this whole gigantic thread about talking heads saying things, so this is nothing new. If "pushing back" means PR damage control or outright lying about their reports, then that isn't having a thin skin, that is defending the truth. We got burned in the Cooper trade and it didn't work out, and our WR corps still isn't anything to write home about even now. -
And tbd members can't help but link these articles and/or feed them clicks. They do it for Nick Wright too. They never learn.

Waiting for Simon to ban him for this thread…

Beans overall has done a good job. But I think you are giving him a bit too much credit. The Von Miller contract was a huge overpay. As was the Diggs extension. The Knox contract extension was just stupid. The Bills fall in love far too heavily with “their guys.” I think that has held us back. No reason a guy like Tre White at this point has any business being on an NFL field. The coaching staff is less than dynamic and has been solid but not great. We have been married to a defensive scheme that seems overly complex and cerebral, especially for younger players. And does not seem to take advantage of players athleticism. And most importantly we almost never change it based on our personnel. Instead we find players to fit it. Instead of bringing in the best athletes and building the defense around the players that we have in that particular year. And yes having Josh Allen washes away a lot of mistakes. And Beane did a great job getting #17. And has hit on some talented under the radar guys like Shakir and Ty Johnson. And he is great at finding O lineman. And getting a 2nd for Diggs was a winning trade, getting rid of a malcontent. There is just a certain up tightness/ formality to Beane and McDermott that some organizations don’t seem to have IMO.

amen! I have more suspensions than Josh Gordon
-
Especially if he’s SB MVP.
-
If the Bills win a Super Bowl that will guarantee Allen is in 100%. IMHO

One of them must have popped onto this message board… I do agree with many points, but also think he’s closer to the Hall of Fame than not. He wouldn’t be first ballot if he retired tomorrow, but there’d still be a chance he’d get in later. When his career is all said and done, I think he’s easily first ballot. Hopefully the passing numbers start to shine even brighter.

Last years class, not this year. It’s factual that none of the free agents or draft picks made in 2024 had an impact on the field last year. -
It's also a grey area of the law utilized in complicated situations such as this. He was given a second chance 14 years ago if he met the conditions to check in every year and live a clean life, to be allowed to stay in the country. He made the right choices and ICE honored the agreement until this administration's ICE decided they needed to fill their quota and could point to his past. Well within their rights but that doesn't make it the correct decision. I definitely commend ICE for going after too many violent criminals the dumb ass Biden administration let in. This is not one of them and is just one example of ICE filling quotas so the administration can brag how many criminals they removed. How about they focus on the people that truly need removed even if it means lower numbers deported? You forgot: 3) finding a grey area that the judges, ICE and person can agree on. That's where we were with the former green card veteran who has lived here since 7 years old, made some mistakes and got his life straightened back out. Then our new administration's leadership changed the playing field Let's hope so, and I do hope they will. I also hope ICE will narrow their focus to the immigrant criminals everyone would like to see removed instead of removing productive members of society just because they have an excuse to do so. There can be humanity in administering the laws and I think most Americans would want to be in that space.
