Hopefully this is just some soreness. A little worrisome to see a DNP with a Neck designation. Strong has been solid in his first 4 games. T.J. Sanders also pops up with a Limited practice with a Knee. Two important Rookies who were healthy now aren't. Not great.

Sure, he's on pace for 1700+ yards, but you guys are gonna feel pretty silly when he finishes with only 1650 or so. I don't think it's fair to blame people who didn't want to pay him Henry money when he wound up signing for like 20% less. That is, no one else was offering him Henry money either. I was relieved to see 12M/yr with a reasonable guarantee and now I feel like it was a steal. In hindsight, I would be be plenty forgiving if they had given him 15M for four years, but I also think he's playing better than anyone expected. And it wouldn't have been a steal.

Well earned!! Way to go, James Cook. And his performance is at least the same if not better than in his contract year. Which says a lot about the type of person he is.

Agree that it is hard to judge RB when he gets random touch here and there. It seems that it applies to Davis as well. Last year he started one game vs Jets when Cook was down, and he was really good once he got some flow. But like Gunner said, if he needs flow more that some other backup RBs, then we need someone else, since he will never get consistently going behind Cook. And I disagree about him not missing holes. I watches All22 of two games. In Baltimore game he missed one hole early, and after that was doing fine. In Saints game he had 2&4 during that infamous drive, and to my eye he missed the hole between McGovern and Cybo and went to the right. I'd say it's a first down if he just went through that hole.

I was pissed and said as much in the thread the minute it happened. I then got bombarded with dislikes and stalkers for the next few weeks constantly going back and pointing out that I thought it was a terrible trade. I accepted that they basically paid cleveland more to eat the money but I still hated it. I even got a temp ban and threats in my messages when I pointed it out later in the year again. I believe I was told I was crusading. oh well. This year I feel the exact same way about bosa. Thankfully he only takes cap space and not draft capital away.

You gotta see it from a content creation standpoint. This week's schedule is a pretty lopsided slate of games. Analysts are under pressure to not just pick all chalk. So they pick one where they can make a case for the upset. Who else are they gonna pick? Well, SI all picked the Bills for whatever thats worth.

One of these games we will see the ty johnson explosion like we have seen in the past. When we need something that no one is expecting we will see a major ramp up on his targets. Would be interesting to see another game w/ multi rbs in the backfield to give a look not seen before. just my 2c

I understand your frustration but both McDermott and Beane have stated many times that the team's philosophy is that you win football games in the trenches. This is their philosophy. A few things on the subject: 1) Solomon is a core special teamer. 2) This is Solomon's audition. It's his last big chance to show he belongs before they make a decision on him. 3) The team is winning without Jackson and still has plenty of time to ease him into a rotation based on Solomon's performance... there's no reason to rush.

Totally agree. I remember the one year (2011) Freddie was on pace to break 2000 yards possibly and got injured. In 10 games (technically just over 9 as I believe he got injured early in last game) he averaged just under 150 scrimmage yards per game.

He might be right about the Bills defense, but the Bills not being able to run on the NE defense--and not being able to pass, either? So one of the top offenses of last year and this year utterly stymied by the Patriots? I'm pessimistic about the game because of the Bills leaky defense, but the offense is a sleeping giant. They haven't blown teams out because they haven't needed to.

I think because of the defense right now, its makes it more possible. It makes it less likely that we go into "run the clock" mode after halftime. And less chance of pulling Allen like we did last year. Also meaning for him, he can put up more numbers lol.
