He's definitely in that second tier but that's a lot of money for a guy who has stretches of inconsistency The current run stuff win rate advanced metrics has him outside the top 10 edge despite PFF having him top five as a run stuffer right now His win rate is under 30% according to advanced metrics He's very good but has never taken that giant step to perennial pro bowler which would really help the bills

Pittsburgh is in the 20s on defense, 20th in points allowed, and 28th in yards allowed. On offense, 11th in points scored, 27th in yards. What's good for Buffalo is that their offense is really bad at rushing, 26th in attempts and yards. Their defense is really bad at defending the pass, 32nd in pass attempts, 31st in passing yards allowed. They might be looking past Buffalo this week to the Ravens the following week at Baltimore. One can hope.

I don't think the roster is that far off. We need a WR1 first and foremost, followed by a WR2. Depending on who our coach is we might be okay with Palmer as our WR2 along with a draft pick. We need to replace Bosa and DQ, and even with that I might be okay just bringing Bosa back which replaces his $12M void year cap hit. Torrence's replacement might already exist on the roster in Anderson or Grable. McGovern I would extend if possible, I don't think he'll be too expensive after somewhat of an average year. Other needs on the roster are just cosmetic fixes, we're not overhauling any other position groups besides WR. Just need the right coaching staff to put it all together and we're in business.
