Debate Over: Drake Maye can’t hold Josh Allen’s jockstrap
UKBillFan replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
This confuses me. After the Pats win earlier in the year, and through the Bills slump you were at pains to say Allen was great and Bills fans were being over critical. Now the Bills won thanks to a massive comeback at Foxborough it's all because of Cook, not Allen? -

Thank you! I asked nicely the first time but someone got all bent out of shape because I didn’t know who was out for the Bills. The Offense played well enough to win today IMO both D were bad today.. -
I can’t make sense out of it. I mean, New England was out of the bye so I imagine they had some wrinkles. But it’s not just this game and we are straight up dominating second half’s. The rush is getting home, lots of three and outs, no running game. Some of the best defense in the McD era. First half is literally the complete opposite.

I think you called it correctly on Palmer. He was better with the Chargers. Has he had more than a couple big plays all year? The catch up the sideline against Baltimore late. And the deep catch against Atlanta. He has probably missed close to half the games too. How does his contract look for next year? Can we cut his ass without much of a salary cap hit? -

Yup, I didn't see a whole lot today that screamed Maye isn't anything more than an avg QB. I wasnt impressed at all, he actually folded late in the game when they needed him most. -

Drake is young and will learn as the seasons go on but today the seasoned team won and I for one am eating a shitload of crow. Go Bills! -

Has Josh Allen put himself back in the race for MVP this year??

Yea @gonzo1105 mentioned that. I need to watch back and focus on AJE's part. But AJ in non-contain shocker would not be news would it? 😄 -

Ya because it wasn’t the defense giving up 28 points in a half.. and let’s not forget Allen only put up 7 in the first half.. Maye didn’t lose that game the Pats D inability make a second half stop even after getting the lead with less than 5 minutes to go.. -

Nothing groundbreaking, when it comes to offensive coordinators, it about the relationship with the quarterback. Frankly, I think the combination is doing well. There’s obviously situational plays that could have better results, but the offense is playing well generally. Could it be better? Absolutely. we got what we got at this point. -

and Oliver will be back for us….all teams get injured players back, right? This was a huge loss for NE. Playing a cake schedule (not their fault) they had statement opportunity and honestly threw up all over themselves in the 2nd half. Really nice story this year - congrats - but this loss will create a lot of doubt. -
It hasn't been a single issue either. In Houston, for example, the gameplan was fine, the playcalling was largely fine but the effort and the tackling in particular was embarrassing. Today they were totally outschemed and out coached first half but the players were playing hard and making tackles. It is bizarre to have such a difference..

Then why bring it up then? And nobody said it wasn't possible. I know you are hoping it's very possible especially if the Bills cant win a SB soon. And Ahh does Mac Jones have the same abilities Drake Maye has? Like what are we doing here...or cuz they worn the same uniform that means they will suffer the same fate? Ha ha -
I never wish injury on a player, but I also can't pretend to feel bad for Chiefs Kingdom.
