Report: Terry McLaurin requests trade
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would trade for him for sure. We won’t even have to worry about the defense anymore. The Bills will score 50 points a game. -
Yes. He’s got tremendous speed for his size. An absolute mismatch for any defense.

Burrow is gonna pull a Carson Palmer and just ask out in 2-3 years. For as much as I have had my issues with Beane and at times how he has built the team the Bills aren't putting bad teams around Josh nor are they shooting themselves in the dick with cheap ownership. -
He has 1000 yards five years in a row, and he hasn't had a ton of awesome QB play during that period. Can the Bills even afford him, though? And do we really want to improve any portion of the team outside of the defensive line? We may need a 16th guy for the rotation.

It's pretty obvious that the defense against KC has been the problem for the Bills 4 out of the last 5 playoff eliminations. Even in some of the Bills playoff wins (Dolphins in 2022 and Ravens in 2024) the Bills defense was shaky. I am willing to write off the 2022 Bengals loss as sort of the "Season from hell" from Buffalo tons of injuries on both sides of the ball and many other mentally exhausting things happening that season with the Demar Hamlin situation being the most notable. But the 4 KC Losses were mostly on the defense. The only playoff game where the defense "bailed out" Josh was the 2020 Divisional Round. That's it every other game the Bills defense played well (Broncos 2024, and Steelers 2023) the Bills offense put up big points too. In 12 playoff games since 2020 the Bills have only given Josh 3 good defensive performance and one "bail out" there's a reason why the Bills restocked the defense with younger talent in the draft (no WR fell that wasn't a slot and they needed the talent injection.)

There is no reason we shouldnt be looking into trying to get this done. It would be like adding a high character diggs, but Josh is now at MVP level without him. I am not sure how willing Washington would be to actually move on from him so it is probably for nothing. Is this the same FO for Wash that screwed over Beane with McKissic? Maybe there is some hesitancy there due to that

Understood. I guess the way I am looking at it, is that the 2026 WR class isn’t very good. 2027 is too far off. Even if you get one in 2026, what are the odds that you get McLaurin-level production early? 5%? 10%? He had 1100 yards and 13 TDs. I don’t care about picks or cost, if I get 2 extra years of a guy, that’s definitely a number 1, vs. one I hope becomes a number 1 in 2 or 3 years. This is the Bills best Super Bowl chance (maybe) ever. They are literally the betting favorite in all 17 games. If you were to add McLaurin, even if it cost you your late 1st, you win no less than 12 or 13 games and potentially all of them. You’re probably looking at homefield throughout. I wouldn be firing all of my bullets now. -
Yeah, we know about Cleveland. 😜 By the way @YoloinOhio Columbus is confirmed as a new UFL city. An as of yet determined team will relocate there https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/2025/07/31/ufl-columbus-franchise-relocation-updates/85448517007/

Yep. Why not begrudge a billionaire who will pay $22m but not $33m? dOeSnT hE wAnT hIs tEaM tO wIn? -
Hoax. Starting to heat up? Last week you said it was rampant. I guess rampant has been redefined to mean “increase very slowly”. Hoax. Hoax.

I never said I didn’t want Terry. But to clarify my preference would be to add a younger #1 guy

This trend has been happening for years. Now… Government spending slashed, federal jobs cut, and illegals self deporting or getting deported. We’re resetting. Also - Powell was aware of this and still didn’t cut. So we’re all good, right Jerome?

Political candidates make a lot of promises. Few are kept. Trump said he'd better handle the economy. He didn't say he'd alienate our trading partners. Biden said he'd unify the country. He didn't campaign on letting in 12 million illegals and shifting resources targeted for helping Americans. Trump is right about the need for the Fed to lower rates but his constant berating of Powell painted the guy into a corner. After getting dressed down in public he'd look like a complete tool If he cut rates. These policy decisions should not be public theater but rather done in an official setting. In September there will be a Fed meeting and a rate cut. I'm guessing 50 points rather than the current expectation of 25 points. But it will be too late to avoid a downturn and a stock market drop. If it doesn't happen before that. That's when the money printing, QE and yield curve control enter the debt markets. The July job numbers show the employment situation is deteriorating and add in downward revisions for May and June and the numbers are ugly. Saddle up cowboys. We're all in for a rough and unavoidable ride. For a clue, watch Japan or perhaps Europe dive into a recession first. Its no different this time. Economic cycles start and end. We're close to the end of this one. Time to deal with reality and not the fantasy world of political conflict.

My hobby is being a dad. I've got 5 kids. I'm blessed to be retired at 43 and coach most of my kids sports teams. My number 1 passion behind the Bills is turkey hunting.

Yeah ironically I'm the first and of course Rickey is the latter.

MAGA - report to the fields!
thenorthremembers replied to SectionC3's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Legal citizens of the United States will start reporting to the fields when farmers stop paying minimum wage for maximum work. Why the hell would any legal citizen go work on a farm doing back breaking work, in poor conditions, with no options for health insurance when they can make 17 or 18 dollars an hour putting together sandwiches at Subway or Burger King? Amazing to me that liberals will take to the streets to protest illegals being deported, but don't seem to care about how they are taken advantage of by farmers. Make no mistake about it, farmers may consider illegals "friends," they may show up to protest when ICE detains them for crimes, but they sure as hell aren't paying them a living wage or providing them health insurance. It's incredible to me how of touch with reality people are. COPORATIONS ARE BAD!!! RICH PEOPLE ARE BAD!! FARMERS NEED ILLEGALS TO DO WORK AND PAY SLAVE LABOR TO SO THEY CAN MAXIMIZE PROFITS!! Just because a corporation is dressed in flannel instead of a suit, doesnt mean they arent rich. The farmers paying these people minimum wage arent Ma and Pa Kettle from American Gothic. -
