Joe B (The Athletic) on passing game problems (with data)
BananaB replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Have we all forgot about Sherfield and Harty being higher on the depth chart than Shakir for half a season. Beane just don’t know WRs as good as thinks he does. -
Which players in the NFL are called Name, Only and Title and why do you want to trade for them?
-
Thats where we took our honeymoon. I think of the workers there and feel sick. Also I think of the ride there from the airport. A lot of poverty and people who probably have nowhere to go and no way to protect their belongings.

Von Miller Has More Sacks This Season Than Any Bills Player Thus Far...
MPL replied to NoName's topic in The Stadium Wall
You do realize how much money we'd be paying for those 4 sacks if he was still on the team right now, right? -

The one single thing I want to see again is the 4 + 1 formations we saw last year. They were very effective. Maybe I’m going blind but I’m not see much of it this year. It’s easy to rebut things when your argument is anything you read is a lie. -
I thought he was bad on draft day, then I heard about his magic spell book he carries round with him and I became his number one fan

look imagine you're beane and the bills. you need to sell the fanbase (not to mention the player) on trading back twice for a wideout that he was actually the guy you wanted all along does that put the texting story into context for you -
IF I know it's highly unlikely

Oh well now each new day brings with it just another little snippet like this to make the depression sit that little bit deeper in our stomaches doesn't it? I can also confirm that the average life expectancy of a Bills fan has been calculated at 4.5 years less than that of an average Patriots fan. Also, unconfirmed reports are coming out of Buffalo that claim the new stadium is already showing signs of subsidence - by final game of next season the seats at the top will be at ground level. Finally, my wife just told me she now knows those OnlyFans transactions showing on our bank account have nothing to do with the Buffalo Bills.

his advanced metrics are poor. he also carried so much dead weight and baggage. the Bills made the right decision moving on. there are sooo many things that go into sacks. remember Jordan Phillips and his 9.5 sack year in 2019 when they were almost always coverage sacks? the point is that sacks are a part of, but not the entire part of, what makes a complete pass rusher.

Where is Landon Jackson ???
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills have plenty of DE's for this year, Jackson was drafted for 2027 to take AJ's place, so the fact that he hasn't been active isn't surprising at all. There were articles written prior to the draft thinking the Bills might make more trades than they did as they didn't really have enough open roster spots to match te number of draft picks they held. So they used some for next year and have a years experience under his belt. Whether he succeeds or not who knows the only thing I do know is he hasn't played enough for anyone else to know either. The other thing I do know is there's been a number of good players that posters here labeled busts after even more time that Jackson has had who turned out to be good. Would start the list with Brown, Knox. -

An interesting take, because you are 100% wrong! https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/josh-allen-pumped-bills-took-keon-coleman-qb-texted-wr-before-draft-youre-the-guy-that-i-want/ -
My god, do you hear that? It’s Gabe Davis’ music!
ColoradoBills replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yes. That along with some bad drops is what his cons are. Maybe he can clean some of that up if he is pressed into service later in the year. -
I knew Elam was a bust, I screamed at the TV on draft day

My biggest issue I have with people that get upset over Keon's lack of production and compare him to McConkey failed to look at what causes the stat differences. Case in point we should have taken McConkey crowd. Do they understand that just because two guys play WR doesn't mean they play the same position? As a slot guy is different than an outside guy. Toss in look at targets Keon's had 39 targets compared to Ladd's 68. Who do you think going to have better stats based on that? I'd bet on the guy with more targets each and every time. Has Keon stepped up like we all hoped? I'll be the first to tell you no. Blame him, blame coaching whatever it happens. Yet also in watching football since 1988 I can also tell you that typically WRs take a good three full seasons until they reach there best selves. Yes, some do it sooner and some do it later but I'm not ready to throw Keon in the trash heap because for every Ladd McConkey I can give you a Xavier Leggette or Ja'Lynn Polk who were drafted around same time the other two guys mentioned and performed worse than Keon thus far.

OJ had 273 yards rushing and the Bills lost...
BearNorth replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
OJ was 6-1 212 supposedly ran a 4.3 40. At USC he was part of a relay team that set a world record at that time in the 440 yard dash [402.34 metres] of 38.7 seconds. His fastest 100 yard dash was timed at 9.53. I believe Jim Brown's fastest 100 yard dash was 9.6 [at 232 pounds]. -
Right now, Jackson is the 5th DE. The top 4 look to be playing pretty well. I hope they all stay healthy and Landon just keeps training/learning for next year. Despite his whipping boy status, AJE's play as rotational DE is going well this year.

I mean, I would assume Carolina wanted to stop him... Every defense wants to stop plays, doesn't mean it's automatic just because it is the focus of the defense.
