Game week thread - Bills at Patriots*

Hoping it's just grade 1 turf toe Unreal -
They’re screwed if Hairston or Tre get hurt. Who’s next? Dane Jackson and / or some out of the league PS scrub? can Hancock play outside ?
-
Somewhat hilarious that the Patriots got the Bengals without Burrow, Chase and Higgins.. then, somehow, we managed to get - perhaps - their only full strength game the rest of the season.
-
With all these injuries, I’m pretty sure every practice is just the game I shall not name that Bijan referenced last night.
-
This dude is concussed for half the season but decided to just show up for our game and make a dozen 1-handed contested catches!
-
So everything he did before becoming disgruntled gets cancelled just like that? I disagree entirely and I will leave it at that.
-
Wow..kinda surprised this isn’t a bit more controversial of a situation in the media tbh. I’ve seen some rumblings about it in the media but not a ton. I can buy the whole ‘symptoms don’t show up until after the game in some cases’ but we literally watched him have symptoms during the game on live television 😂

What a surprise...psst.

A nerve block makes sense, however, I have to ask, wouldn't a nerve block that high make quite a bit of that side of the thoracic area and abdomen numb? Also, which nerve are they targeting for this?
-
No they have not... probable yes... but we need to lock it up first before I start thinking about advancing in the playoffs..
-
I think that this is the whole point... Of course the Bills should try and upgrade WR when the chance presents itself, but we can't pretend like acquiring players doesn't come with a cost. Acquiring the type of WR some of the armchair GMs around here want comes with a big cost. Quite honestly, if Brady and this offense sticks around, im not sure there is any way a top flight WR is worth what it would take to get them, unless you get lucky and find a guy like St. Brown or Nakua late in the draft.
-
You mentioned the inability of the WRs to get open (ie separation). Others have also brought up the WRs as a reason the numbers are starkly different from last year. But the WRs aren't materially different from last year, so it's not clear how this would now be a significant factor as to why Josh's sack and pressure numbers are up, despite him having career highs in accuracy (bad throw %, on target% and drop%). I agree sacks are the result of several variables, but the difference in this year's WR performance and last year's doesn't seem to be a significant one.

Go figure.

Christian Benford in a medical walking shoe
atlbillsfan1975 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
With the news that the Pats best receiver( Diggs)plays out of the slot 70% of the time, this might now be as big an injury for this week. Benford would have erased Hollins or Boutte. Oh well, out score them and don’t let them put on the hats or shirts this week. -
Higgins officially declared out for Sunday's game vs the Ravens

Starting to see it reported that it was during a dry needling session? How does that even happen isn’t that essentially a more scientific take on acupuncture?

This may be the shi*iest thread I have ever read on this board 😉 "Depends" on your opinion I guess.

Why are my post being deleted?

I know the anatomy of the thoracic cavity. I've assisted in more thoracentesis' than I can count. The pleural space isn't the issue. It's the lung tissue that causes a problem. You can't do a thora without entering the pleural cavity

“Next man up” has some limits though. This team limps in with guys off the street and 4th stringers in huge playoff games. Just wish we had a bit better luck here. -
Wrong. It shouldn't happen but the same thing happened to Tyrod. The pleura lines the thoracic cavity along the inside of the rib cage. When trying to numb the rib it only takes a small needle prick to go into the plural space and nick the lung. Then you get a pneuomothorax(collapsed lung). That said people can get spontaneous pneumothorax as well. Usually tall thin women with or wolitgout underlying lung disease.
