Yeah? I would. And do. Every reason to think it could happen, especially as it seems to go that way every year. Could this be the year it doesn't? Sure. But don't bet the mortgage on it. I fully expect the offense to do a bunch better later in the year. And don't for an instant think they'll consider letting Brady go or that we will get what you would consider a top tier WR. Wouldn't be surprised if they get a mid-tier guy before the deadline, though. And that would likely help.

So is playing badly. And Josh did. He doesn't do it often. But every once in a while, yeah. Same with Mahomes, and everyone, really. Comes with being human. He was not good against Atlanta. That doesn't mean the rest of the team was above criticism, though. Penalties, bad tackling and gap fill problems. A lot going on. But a bad game by the QB is always going to be tough to overcome by any team.

Plausible X/#1 receiver trade candidates — are there any?
Thurman#1 replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nonsense. There are tens of thousands of homecoming queens all over American every year. A better analogy would be that it takes a special type to date Ana DeArmas. But not doing that doesn't mean you're only going to the dance and that you're obviously not trying hard enough, that's nonsense. We're a terrific team. Or have been anyways. It's hard to be sure of that this year in any way. But it's still very possible. Nor is it in any way obvious that getting a #1 would bring us Ana DeArmas or a Lombardi this year. It might well raise the odds, but pretending that automatically gets us there is just kidding yourself -

Hope you have a better time than my family and I did last week -
He does. But still, Wilson and Waddle won't be going in the division. Wouldn't mind Olave if they could get him. But seems N.O. is working towards signing him. Olave would be more reasonable and likely in every way. That's an interesting idea, I'd love to see them get Buddha if possible. Rapp really looked pretty good last year. Not nearly so much this year. And we need a good pair of safeties for a McDermott defense.

Would you trade the Bills roster (except Josh Allen) for Ohio State's.
Thurman#1 replied to Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course I would. Three unproven guys who might be really really good? Without a doubt!! But I eat bird poop and go bungee jumping with the cord around my neck. OF course I would. But again, I eat bird poop and go bungee jumping with the cord around my neck. -
All the negativity that our defence will get destroyed because of the Atlanta game, I’m more confident that after a week resting up and with the new guys they’ll be ready to go. It seems to have been forgotten that the defence held Atlanta to 3 points in the second half. Yes the first half was a disaster but they adjusted in the second and forced I think it was 4 punts? If they can do that again on Sunday then we should win comfortably as long as the offense don’t s**t the bed again

If they had 6 weeks of no practice, they definitely wouldn’t play. Too much injury risk- they’d need to be ramped up.

Well let's break it down: - they are strong at RB where we are weak defending the run - they have a positive record and are rapidly gaining in confidence whilst our confidence is in the toilet Yeah, all in all I'm about as confident as the Bills. The streak continues. If it results in Pegula thumping the table I'm ok with some short term pain. -
Like I said, sad. Goodell would be pleased. Tell me, what would it take for you to agree that some games, such as key ones played by KC, are fixed? Two TDs overturned by a call from NY? Ten? Maybe automatic PI calls on every Mahomes incomplete? Or would you even then deny what you're seeing? If so, you should check out another league where everything is also completely, 100% honest: the WWE. Thanks, I'll try it. And as I recommended to beebe, you might try the WWE for your own entertainment needs. It's real!

How could they be any worse than the dross defence we have produced lately? I'd bring them in by default alone, just to send a clear message that mediocrity will not be tolerated. -
Given how the defense has played the last 6 weeks, they can't make things any worse

According to Gemini: For a 6-game suspension, the player is typically allowed to return to the team facility and participate in practices after the team's third regular-season game (meaning, during the week leading up to their team's fourth game). Here's a simple breakdown of the standard rules for an NFL player serving a suspension (whether for substance violations or other infractions): Before Suspension - Training Camp & Preseason Can practice and play in preseason games. First Half of Suspension - Games 1, 2, & 3 Cannot practice or be at the team facility. Second Half of Suspension - Games 4, 5, & 6 Can practice and attend team meetings. After Suspension - Week 7 (or later) Eligible to be activated and play in games.

It seems like a lot of the things media were worried about before last season are actually happening this year instead. One thing is for sure, if they lose this one they're screwed, especially with the Chiefs up next and them starting to roll

Our best, slightly realistic, hope is that Beane is able to pry away Chris Olave from the Saints. Then, hopefully, Gabe Davis is getting close. The two of them then replace two thirds of Elijah Moore, Tyrell Shavers, and Curtis Samuel's roster spots on the 53. Options like A.J. Brown, Jaylen Waddle, and Garrett Wilson aren't real options. The first being unavailable outside of Fantasy and the latter two no way being traded to us if they are available. Outside of Olave, I think we're looking at Jakobi Meyers, Rashid Shaheed (for his deep threat ability), Calvin Ridley, or Jerry Jeudy as the only options with a sliding scale of possibility. Olave to me is the lone realistic big fish. But any of them would at least be upgrades over what we have. Although I fear Beane, with the hardcore stance he took this off-season about WR, won't do anything beyond bring up Gabe when he's healthy bc he'd have to admit he was wrong. I hope I'm wrong tho. Said it once, I'll say it a million times, two weeks before the deadline - everyone's going to publicly say that the players who's names are being floated out there in the press are "unavailable". That doesn't mean that all of them really are. It means some of them are playing the game and hoping someone will throw a bigger offer at them to "change their mind". A lot of them really aren't. Specifically A.J. Brown. But there's no way there won't be a single WR moved at the Trade Deadline, regardless of what they're all saying now.

You’re right , and it doesn’t appear there’s one available. The rest of this season is looking like a referendum on Beane’s roster building failures. Hoping I’m wrong and it’s their annual October swoon/ lack of focus. This feels different though. -
Going forward, when we run zone, I don't want to see CBs 8 yards off the receivers with safeties so far back they’re not even in the picture. Get up on these receivers and challenge them. Give your DL a fighting chance to get in the backfield and make a play. It shouldn’t be pitch and catch for the offense and that’s exactly what it has been with these cushions. If Rapp is still starting, play him in the box. I’d rather have a high variance defense that causes havoc but gets burned once in awhile, versus one that allows consistent yardage and bends then ultimately breaks anyway. Bring heat up front, but have the backend play more aggressive.

Many such cases. Hiring a fired HC to be a coordinator often leads to good results. -
I smell a disappointing upset next Sunday. I mean, we should win it, but I think our Legion of Room defense is gonna lay another egg when it comes to getting off the field. It pains me to say... Bills 23 Panthers 27

I'm more depressed seeing Atlanta only score 10 points. This Bills team has massive issues in all three phases of the game. We have all probably vastly overrated this roster due to Allen bailing them out over and over. We are now seeing just how poorly the roster is built and how pedestrian at best McDermott is. So of course, I just bought my tickets and flying down for the game! Any Charlotte TBD members with good restaurant recommendations? -
