For this particular game, I think the precip and winds are going to be a big factor. Need to get the running game established early. Field position, which the Bills are near the bottom of the league at, will be important too. From NWS "Lake effect bands will become better developed Sunday afternoon/evening through Sunday night as lake induced equilibrium levels rise up around 10k feet and the northwest flow will support lake connections with the Georgian Bay and Lake Huron. Snow accumulations of a few inches will be possible east and southeast of Lakes Erie and Ontario, but forecast uncertainty is medium at this time as guidance continues to depict moving lake effect bands. The greatest snow amounts can be expected over the higher terrain south of Buffalo where a better upstream connection is also possible with Lake Huron and even Lake Superior"

If Norwoods kick was not right, then...

Good point, kincaid needs to play at least 60%-70 of offensive snaps so we can disguise the opponent's defense.

ESPN NFL playoff machine up and running

Miami. Buffalo beat them on the road in the AFC title game. Media wanted Miami to win to have a Marino vs Aikma SB. Not that it would have mattered. Dallas would have destroyed them too. Edit: NE won the SB as the one seed in 2003 2024 Chiefs were one seed and of course lost. -
I agree that failing to sign Hollins alone would not cost Bean his job I said it could be the straw that broke the camels back. Sometimes getting the simple stuff wrong is the most annoying. As for Hollins staying, I'm not convinced he didn't want to and it's hard for me to believe he would have left if offered the same pay and assurances that he would be given a chance to be a bigger part of the Bills offense.

I was watching Eric Wood's podcast yesterday with Stevie Johnson and he said Josh needs to be more boss than buddy with his WRs and call his own plays. To me it does kinda look like he's a bit handcuffed by Brady. Heck do we even have a pass coordinator? He sure isn't looking like Jim Kelly on the sideline. I'd rather see him look like he's in charge. I've been told that Rome wasn't built in a day to which I'd reply....That's cause I wasn't running that job. Take charge Josh!

Yea.. I think there’s a ramp up between Josh and Josh that needed to happen. Then he finally looks like he’s coming alive down field andddd he’s been injured ever since. It’s a lot of ifs, but it’s all we’ve got. Bills Offense should be focused on getting Allen chemistry with Gabe and Palmer as soon as possible.

Game week thread - Buccaneers at Bills

Gotta bring in a new offensive minded HC with a different system. Trade Coleman and get the WRroom upgraded this offseason. -
I agree but the same time that's a lot of ifs to go right. Even when Palmer was healthy they still weren't using him much as a down field threat
-
I agree, until I don't.

The Bills simply need something, anything, to open up the passing game down field. Maybe Brady just doesn’t have that in him.. might be a bigger worry for me than personnel at this point. …because while not world beaters, both Gabe and Palmer can win deep and take the top off. As opposed to the none of that we’ve had for most of this season. If we can start hitting stuff downfield, that opens up Shakir to become more than a glorified running back and opens up our run game to be even more dominant. We never needed a Justin Jefferson, although that would be great. We simply need competency in our OC and outside WR’s. Gabe and Palmer (if healthy) are both competent outside WR’s. Then we need to see if Brady has it in him to not be the anchor that sinks us.

Ugh thats my birthday I think the last time we won a game on my birthday was vs broncos in 2008. ill have to fact check that

Exactly this. It's also easy to talk without knowing of how things played out. Let's say for the sake of argument, Beane DID win a bidding war. He would have likely had to vastly overpay. Now he sunk all that money into Hollins and Hollins gets injured here. Now he's overpaid and sitting on IR. Pitchforks would still be out in full force that we overpaid a JAG that's sitting on IR.

100% agree until the McBean regime is finally put out to pasture we will just be banging our heads against the wall every year in the same Groundhog Day manner we’ve been. We had the easiest schedule I can remember with Kansas City and Baltimore struggling early and we can’t take advantage as per usual. We blow games we shouldn’t and nothing in me thinks anything will be different in the playoffs. I almost feel like we should just write a petition to Pegula to get rid of these two clowns and finally get a regime that will support and elevate our once in a lifetime quarterback. I don’t even care if it means bringing in a familiar face like Daboll to run the show. Not my first choice but I know he and Josh will work well together and he’ll get him what he needs.

That could happen. I have my doubts just due how the offense plays and built. You need to score often in this league to win most weeks. An offense that uses long drives and eats clock is not going to cut it. Add in them having the worst starting field position in the league. A lot has to change for them to go on a run.

One thing about this team - they have consistently put together very good home stretch runs starting around November/ December. I think our December record in particular has been incredible in the Allen era. I just have this feeling we start another run tomorrow. There isn't a team on the schedule that this team can't handle if they're motivated & relatively healthy.

The issue is Keon is only getting about 2/3rds of the snaps now. That's not enough. He needs 100% of the snaps. That's what will allow for the most forced throws and therefore the most chances at catching something. The objective here is to justify the draft pick. Allen better get on board with this soon or we'll take away more receivers and pretty soon it'll just be Keon and eligible tackles.

lol nonsense The Pats weren’t going to continuously upping their big just to steal him away. They gave him a paltry offer and the Bills must have offered nothing or a tiny amount.
