I feel like I’ve said this for 20years… first it was Gronk, now it’s Kelce. Have a single player.. I don’t really care who… and they stay on him. If he blocks, you block him. If they run the other way… you stay on him. No matter what the play design is… you do not leave him. Ever. I can’t fathom how so many teams let him block for a second, then clean release because whoever was on him goes for the play fake (or Mahommes) and he walks out for a wide open 5-10yd completion.

Agree. Talent and scheme win SBs. Beane gets a lot of flack for players not performing to their draft status in the 1st round, but I would guess every other GM in the National Football League has drafted similar players but earlier in the 1st round. Plus, drafting at the end means you get leftovers. Do we really think we can do better than Beane?

it's never just one side. on top of that, were close to the longest shut down in history? do you know whose presidency had the longest shut down so far? it's not all a simple coincidence. i'm down for discussion, but anytime this does anything wrong or it doesn't go their way, the other side is to blame, with no questioning at all. i don't buy into that.

i gave brady stick for the middle 4 games, including the 2 losses, because he is stubborn and arrogant and doesn't self scout and kind of just called madden type plays, but ya we have to take the full account. allen doesn't like under c vs shotgun, but does better in it, so he can be uncomfortable while we win. brady just needs to be deeper in his bag wrt not being predictable. we had two awful driven ending mistakes vs carolina (first two) and still destroyed them (in 40 mins, that was insane). i think aside from the d crushing them, it was the o with brady dialing up a near 5050 blend of pass and run and carolina still has no idea what play is coming next.

Listening to Josh post Panthers seems to reinforce what it looks like on the field- Josh prefers to pass from shotgun but our running O is better under center. Josh talked about his drops from under center and his lack of trust of his feet being the major problem for him Sunday. Statistically in 25 Josh has a PR of 109.7 from shotgun and that drops to 89.3 under center. On the other hand James Cook is gaining over 5 YPC under center while dropping below 4 from shotgun. Curiously EPA stats suggest in the Panthers game the opposite was true- they have us more effective running from shotgun and more effective passing from under center. I have to presume the successful pitches from shotgun with long gains skew that in favor of shotgun, while the season long stats tell the story differently.
