I legit appreciate everything Beane and McDermott have done for the organization. Bringing us out of the drought and eventually hitting on the Allen pick but the fan base is no longer content with the thought of just making the playoffs every year. It’s time to move on. Every day spent with the leadership we currently have in place is a day spent embracing mediocrity and another admission that they are fine waisting Allen’s prime.

I'm a firm believer McD has told Brady to call a game that is a ball control game, an occasional deep ball but control the clock. I dont think that is what Brady is, it's definantly not how Allen is and in today's NFL flat doesn't work with any longevity. That is also why WR is an after thought because in McD eyes they really not needed but only occasionally because he wants to run run run the ball and control the clock. It's a flawed approach IMO and will ultimately not be nearly good enough against the better teams in the playoffs.

Hate to say this … but the Pats are effing good

Yea I see what you are saying, they do cast doubts and the road as of now is easier for the pats, but the way the Bills took apart KC last week. I know there is still a "team" in there that could be very dangerous from whatever seed they will be. As a rival fan the Bills still a problem, until they are not. -
We are seeing the decline of this era of Bills football. Remember back when they were on top of the AFC...1989 thru 1994. Every team hs highs and lows. Unfortunately Pegula doesn't see the writing on the wall. He won't fire Beane or McDermott while they are a 500 club (or less). Just like the Sabres.

And sometimes two or three years into the ownership of that shiny car you bought you realize how much of a clunker it can be. * And yes, hindsight is always 20 / 20. -
Hairston and Bishop both looks to be studs. Huge consolation prize from the Miami game. I was specifically looking at those 2 players and seeing if they can follow up with another good game after KC. Bills might’ve lost but our secondary issues are getting better. Now the criticism is shifted back towards the offense. 😆

Arthur Smith sucks and they should know that. As for defense, if McD was serious about winning a SB and being a pure HC, he wouldve jumped on the chance of bringing in Brian Flores 2 years ago, or Jeff Ulbrich this year. It isnt a mystery or rocket surgery to find good DCs. But McD wants a yes-man to run his out-dated, soft scheme. Sure theres a chance he picks wrong on an outside hire, but at least theyre trying to get the best instead of just Peter Principling a bunch of no-name first timers to stroke his ego of building his own coaching tree.

To be fair, all of these quotes came from a period of time where the Bills absolutely could not run the ball, which caused the offense to be too one dimensional the other way.
-
He actually did a decent job after getting burned for the TD to make sure the pass was incomplete. Waddle did end up dropping the pass due to Hairston’s efforts and the catch did not survive ground. I don’t know why it was ruled complete when he didn’t hang on to it. Should have been placed at the 1.

With Brady as a scoutmaster, the kids are always the last to get to their campsites. Diagonals are evil! * God help us if he goes for an aircraft pilot's license. 😳 -

You will notice the Dolphins played it like they knew it was coming. They were a step ahead all day. -
Hairston vs Waddle........another fun matchup for the Rookie....

It's literally 3 games into his rookie year where he missed the entire camp. He has been damn good for that amount of time missed. My God, what is wrong with half of these posters who expect rookies to step on the field and be All-Pro from their first snap. It's called experience, reps and time on task. -

I'll give the Patriots all the credit in the world for drafting Maye and failing fast by firing the dolt they had at head coach last year. Vrabel was a great hire. That said, playing a last place schedule and being in the AFC East where you play the Jets and Dolphins twice a year is a huge part of what's going on with your team this year. Congrats on being good for one year. But slow down on patting yourself on the back on this "complete rebuild." If you win the division this year come back and tell me how great your team is when you play a 1st place schedule. Except they arent in the basement. I agree on the roster, I've heard all year about how the Bills have so much depth, meanwhile we have practice squad players playing meaningful snaps every week. The Bills havent had the benefit of having a last place schedule in 12 years. The Patriots have a few good wins, but for the most part they play crap teams week in and week out. -
It’s pretty obvious we’re struggling with an offensive scheme / identity and given Dab’s butting heads with McD, Dorsey falling on a sword and the HS offense we’re running now I’m guessing McD has his finger on the pulse of mediocrity when it comes to a creative offense. The roster mismanagement is an entire different problem. I’m not sure how we fix this mess, but looking at Josh this season I see a guy who looks frustrated and not all that happy. He doesn’t look like the same player to me as far as having that spark!

I’ve stated this multiple times and been absolutely crushed for it. Top to bottom, the Pats are the far superior roster in terms of talent. Beane continues to stick to his guns on his preference for slow, unathletic receivers and the team continues to be fine telling 17 to just figure it out. It was only a matter of time before we were sent back to the basement of the AFC east even with a once in a generation talent at QB -

I'm not sure if you guys watched the whole game? If you came away from that Max performance thinking "it was just a bad game" or "he wasn't thaaaaat bad" you are lying to yourself. Max was beat consistently all game. Waddle literally schooled the kid. He has a long way to go! -
Dorsey was NOT a proven anything. He was FIRED from QB coach in Carolina and sat home without a job for 2 years before McD brought him into Buffalo. He was a huge question mark and had a short leash when he managed to land the OC job. Any positive stuff on Babich was just team PR on hyping up McD's protege. They were both "first timers" in their jobs while proven and known quantities were available. But McD cant handle strong, proven coordinators (as proven by how both Dabol and Frazier ended up). As for the McD quote, it doesnt take much to dig up plenty of interviews where he talks about it. He doesnt exactly quote "run first, conservative passing game", but he absolutely alludes to it by talking about the run game, being balanced, etc, etc.

Nah, we have the best QB in the division, they just surround him with bargain basement talent at WR.
