  1. Past hour
  2. What made me happy yesterday was intentionally involving the backs in the passing offense. I'm very jealous of how the 49ers use McCaffery in their offense - they just want the ball in his hands with room to operate. Up until this game the backs were simply outlets if none of Josh's primary reads were available. To have the backs in space on a called play with blockers available because that's the design of the play is a big step forward in my book. Moving Josh around a bit also made me happy. Every defense has known exactly where he was gonna be. Rollouts and moving pockets is another step forward.
  3. Yeah his hand is getting better and he made an amazing play. I am just saying he was recently affected by injuries.
  4. Brace yourself for a week of extra Ssssssss’sssssss.
  5. It be great if Carolina could get him back again and get into the playoffs with them.
  6. He will be coveted by a young team wanting leadership as they head to the playoffs. If I'm Indy I try. If I'm the Patriots maybe even. As a #3/4 he maybe a solid addition.
  7. No argument here. As I said, the stars aligned for Brady's offense, since the conditions, including the injuries you mention, dictated a game plan that required no imagination, insight, flexibility, or any other quality except a play-calling sheet about four inches long. Like the proverbial stopped clock, even Brady is going to be right once in a while. But consider: a competent coordinator would have also stuck with the run in the second half, since it was starting to click, in large part because the defensive turnover and late hit on Allen fired up the team. But that competent coordinator would also have mixed in a few potentially explosive plays that the constant running set up. Even Shavers or Coleman can catch a long ball if they're not covered.
  8. I love the idea of this team finishing the season with an entirely different WR corps than it started with. Beane's answer on that would have to be olympic gold level gymnastics.
  9. Why do we think every washed vet or jag receiver is going to upgrade our WR room? First off Brady wouldn't be able to figure out how to get him more than one to two targets per game and second, the guy is 35 years old.
  10. sure, sounds good to me. the league has done a good job of loading the backend of the schedule with intra division / conference games. makes it all so interesting, esp this year where there is no runaway #1 seed at all Get healthy, Bills. LIght up the Bengals D and go from there.
  11. Freakin' autocorrect!
  12. I’ve ripped and roared about Coach McDermott on these pages. I threw away a bunch of Bills gear after 13 seconds because I feared we would never get that close again. McDermott is a great coach. You have to be in order to win as many games as he has. The list of hall of fame QB and Coach combinations without a world championship win is proof that winning is talent, luck and voodoo. Roman Gabriel-George Allen; Tarkington & Joe Kapp-Bud Grant; Don Meredith- Landry; Dan Fouts- Don Coryell; YA Title- Allie Sherman, Sonny Jurgensen-Vince Lombardi, Ken Anderson-Paul Brown; Jon Brodie-Dick Nolan, Donavon McNabb-Andy Reid; Jim Kelly-Marv Levy; Warren Moon- Bum Philips. These giants of the game fell short. There was always another team in their way. The Bills and Pittsburgh blocked Houston. The Packers of the 60’s blocked half the people on this list. The Steelers of the 70’s did the same. It may not be in the cards for the bills no matter who they hire. Sometimes changing coaches works. The Rams fired hall of fame coach Chuck Knox and went to the SB the next year; lost to the Steelers. Winning it all is hard. After seeing McDermott pull together the defense and offense yesterday, I wondered: could the worst Bills team in four years won the SB? There are no dominant teams in the nfl this year. They are all flawed. Maybe it could happen—-even with Baylon Spector playing. Pfft.
  13. I am in favor of getting him. But who gets bumped from the roster?
  14. Oh! I didn’t realize that this was 2019. Sorry, I’ve been ahead of schedule for years.
  15. Thought you’d laugh when I went adolescent there. But then I should know better than to tangle with the big boys.
  16. Id be all over this. He upgrades the room and leadership.
  17. Who waved back? Anyone?
  18. McDermott is a good HC. He has caught some bad breaks. It is also time for the team to move forward with a different administration. Allen will be 30 and the Bills are one of the few teams that desperately MUST win a SB within the next year or so. Both can be true. It's time
  19. 1) Brian Dabol - Yes 2) Mike McDaniel - No, but can he run a viable defense? 3) Robert Selah - No, but is he anything more than Sean? 4) Matt Eberflus - Yes 5) Brian Callahan - Yes 6) Doug Pederson - Yes
  20. I am going to watch the game with my friend who is Bengals fan. He is similarly unhappy wit the front office for not supporting Burrow adequately. Burrow
  21. Na he should have drafted Mahomes at 10 in his first year as a HC, played Mahomes over Tyrod in the "Peterman debacle game" seen some good things and continue to play him and just miss the playoffs, see fans call for his head and insert Tyrod back in the lineup since Mahomes just not good enough and eventually force us to trade Mahomes be in position to draft a QB in 2020 and see us draft Tua to replace Tyrod and have us cry for years on end as the QB purgatory never ends.
  22. somebody wake up the wizard
  23. This is a concern. The Bills of the Daboll era wanted to run, sure, but were at least equally able to win by passing it. I'm not sure that's the case under Brady, the Bills are not as multiple in how they can dominate, it's entirely through the run game.
