  2. Three road playoff wins sounds like a tall task, but for one game, I would rather go on the road to Denver or Indy than play Baltimore or KC at home, despite the difference in current records.
  3. I enjoy his Daily Butthurt. Then I don't have to wonder if Trump's owning the Libs, he shows up every day to confirm it.
  4. I can't watch Sean lose another game to Andy in the playoffs.
  5. My take, after listening (sometimes while multi-tasking admittedly) to the oral arguments: - The 3 liberal justices will shoot it down. There is some inconsistency there, as Kagan specifically said Biden's student loan forgiveness was kosher if I remember correctly. - I strongly believe Barrett will shoot it down. She is known for the most strict reliance on the wording of the statute, and here the statute says nothing about tariffs. So that's 4 votes against the tariffs. - The 5th (and maybe 6th) votes could come from Roberts and Gorsuch.
  6. That seems like a rather big spread. Do home teams still get three points automatically? If so, it would be 3.5 point favorites.
  7. I've been to several stadiums. You feel the energy more at a Bills home game than any other place. You literally feel energy and its unexplainable unless you're Nikola Tesla.
  8. Give me the 1 seed and the BYE week to start the playoffs. Home Field Advantage throughout, I don't care who we play.
  9. Trump Wins on Passports By John Hinderaker Today the Supreme Court issued an order in Trump v. Orr, the case that challenges Trump’s executive order to the effect that a person’s sex as shown on his or her passport will be the sex at birth. This order was challenged in the federal court in Massachusetts, and a Democratic Party judge issued an injunction barring implementation of the order while the case proceeds through the federal courts. This is the Democrats’ familiar strategy: bring a case before a loyal judge who will, without hearing the case on the merits, issue a preliminary injunction preventing the Trump administration from carrying out the policy in question. The “preliminary” injunction will for all practical purposes be permanent, since by the time the case is finally resolved, Trump most likely will be out of office. Through this means, the Democratic Party has effectively tried to seize control of the Executive Branch. But the Supreme Court is on to them, and the administration has consistently gotten these preliminary injunctions dissolved in the Supreme Court. That is what happened here. The unsigned (as is the case with such orders) majority opinion says: This case concerns an Executive Branch policy requiring all new passports to display an individual’s biological sex at birth. The United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts preliminarily enjoined the Government from enforcing the policy, and the First Circuit declined to stay the injunction pending appeal. The Government then filed this stay application. Applying our familiar stay factors at this preliminary stage, we grant the application. Displaying passport holders’ sex at birth no more offends equal protection principles than displaying their country of birth—in both cases, the Government is merely attesting to a historical fact without subjecting anyone to differential treatment. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/11/trump-wins-on-passports.php
  10. 1 seed. I don’t want to play the 1 seed on the road after a bye. Unless of course 6 or 7 pulls an upset.
  11. We will be favored in all of those games, and are heavily favored vs Tampa (-6.5). Would losing be shocking, no. But they would be upsets.
  12. If you know you have the bye, I don't think you can rest starters in week 17. Starting a playoff game after two weeks off is asking for trouble. That's my one important nugget. Do not have rusty players.
  13. Option C) Bills one seed, Chiefs and Ravens out of the playoffs.
  14. I choose bye every time over the other scenarios
  15. The ‘Farmer’s Almanac’ says goodbye after 208 years First printed in 1818, the publication based in Lewiston, Maine, has used sunspots, lunar cycles, and planetary positions to generate its long-range weather forecasts. They predict that winter 2025-2026 will be a “wild ride” with dramatic swings, wintry weather, and a cycle of “chill, snow, repeat.” The season’s coldest temperatures are expected to be in the Northern Plains to New England.
  16. There's a lead on the identity of the J6 "Pipe Bomber." It is believed to be a woman.
  17. I do agree one more game increases the likelihood of injuries. However, in the past five years, TB, LAR, KC (2023), and the Eagles never had a bye. All won the SB.
  18. Absolutely true story, re the magnetic attraction of this team: Grad school, 92-94, Monterey CA. GF was a thru-and-thru CA girl; no attachment to Buf except via myself, as I would always take her to the sports bar at 1000 to watch the Bills. Anyway, 3Jan93, comeback game. After first half, I lost my sh*t and went upstairs in my flat. She, in huffy reply, said "I'm staying here to watch, bc I love this team." Wow. Anyway, second half, I could hear her yelling downstairs. She walked up to our room and said, w barely disguised anger: "get your ass down here, bc something is happening." Never will forget it, obviously. Next year, I did bring her to a home game in Dec. No kidding, fans around us were asking her, in good fun, "wtf, are you from CA or something?" Anyway, she went on to work for a 3-letter, where we would cross paths here and there...then she became a FT yoga instructor. Lesson kids: marry the girl who loves the Bills, works for the IC, and then teaches yoga. My bad.
  19. Fly to see the Bills Pilgrimage to Miami Squish the Fish again
  20. No deal on ending shutdown By Bill Glahn Democrats think they are “winning” the shutdown. As long as they continue to think that, it will continue, into 2026, perhaps into 2029. Yesterday’s offer from Senate leader John Thune (R-SD) has been rejected. From The Hill newspaper, Deal to reopen government falters over Democrats’ distrust of Trump. A “deal” can’t “falter” if there never was a deal. Distrust of Trump? The Hill reports, Democratic support for a potential deal to reopen the government has crumbled because of deep mistrust among Senate Democrats over whether they can trust President Trump to act in good faith to extend health insurance subsidies or to stop firing federal workers. Was there ever any Democratic support? They mistrust/distrust/don’t trust that Trump will meet 100 percent of their demands. Is that Trump’s “fault”? Days ago, the current “shutdown” passed the record to become the longest ever. The now-second-longest shutdown occurred during Trump 1.0 over his request for a border wall. He never got it. The local Minneapolis Star Tribune put out this headline, Democrats consider prolonging the shutdown as Republicans prepare new bills without health care fix How can Democrats “prolong” something for which they are totally without blame? (Good question) Democrats are the proverbial dog who chased and caught the car. They have no idea what comes next. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/11/no-deal-on-ending-shutdown.php
  21. Shameless LAMP as we discuss being coincidentally visiting towns where Bills are playing. My company has a main division in Houston and is hosting customers for the Bills-Texans game. Guess who is not finding a reason to coincidentally be in Houston that week ? 🙁
  22. If we had a bye we might have gotten to the SB one of these past years. Not only do you need to win one less game, it gives players a chance to heal up (especially if you can rest starters week 18), and one less chance to get injured in the game.
  23. I would recommend to anyone who doubts Homelander is a bot simply block him and then see how many times in a row he posts to different threads. It is literally impossible to be posting as much as he is doing it. Why someone would set a bot here is beyond me but it is certainly true.
