Did not go onto detail but just read that Ukraine hit Russia today and they are suppose to have peace talks tomorrow. If this is so that he can go into the meeting and state to Putin he can hit back hard therefore peace is needed I am ok with this, but if it is to simply extend the war I am beyond pissed that we are funding any of it.

I blame the media for this more than the police. I wouldn't care so much about police doing their due diligence first, if it wasn't for that fact that the suspect's face would already be all over CNN with a definitive statement if it was a white male for a conservative cause. Too many people posted what the suspect was shouting on social media already for them to sweep it under the rug this time though.

Probably, but also the expectation of gift value probably doesn't rise at the same rate as the wealth of the folks getting married or their guests goes up. So if the average wedding gift is $250 in the US, maybe for a couple like Hailee and Josh it goes up to $400 considering the average wealth of their guests? I bet the average net worth of their attendees less than 20x the median net worth in the US (192k), which if my WAG on the net worth of their guests is right, puts their net worth at $3.84MM. Certainly guests weren't giving 20 x $250 = $5k gifts This is honestly a really intriguing question. Certainly most people aren't giving thousand plus dollar gifts, but rather $300-$500 bottles of booze, cigars, etc.

If this guy made them money they wouldn’t give a hoot about his moral failings and general incompetence. But he’s not doing that. And they found a clever way to explain his vapid economic approach.
