Beane elaborates on the process of picking Josh Allen
Thurman#1 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
They took all the dead cap to get rid of Diggs because Allen and Diggs did not work together well at all that fourth year. He was still a terrific pickup for the young Josh Allen, helping him out a ton. You're advancing your argument not one jot. Why is that? As for your argument about Coleman ... Well, yeah, after that big game, things went downhill, AFTER THE INJURY. You're right, after the injury, he did indeed perform much less well. It prevented him from making the kind of contested catches he was making a lot of before his wrist damage, and of course his results did look a ton worse. But again, in the five games before the injury his yards looked like this: 51, 49, 26, 125, 70. An average of 64.2 YPG. He'd improved a lot from his first few weeks. Then came Nov. 3rd and the injury. He was never the same. But when healthy, he'd started to look really good. Again, at that point he was #2 among the rookie receivers, even though he was the 5th guy picked., -

Oh, sorry, autocorrect strikes again. Yes, I typed Taron Johnson, not Aaron. Not drafted by Beane, but drafted by this regime. I guess if you want to edge them out, I understand. I won't argue. As summed up here, I don't totally agree with your opinion here, but I think it's certainly in the reasonable range. As a GM overall, you have to say that he's got something to prove and his term will look better with a Lombardi attached. As for his ability to draft, I don't put him at the top of that group you cited, but not at the bottom either. Drafting is tough and he's right up there with them. - Today

He does but the major reason for that low catch rate was he finished dead last because his catchable target rate for TE's. Josh and him need to improve their chemistry. Regardless, the most hope I have for the passing offense to improve is for Coleman and Kincaid to improve in every aspect of their game.
-
Kincaid had the lowest catch rate (58%) of all eligible TE's in 24'. He's gotta step up his entire game in year 3 or I'm afraid it's over for him. "You know what you got after 3 years".

Didn’t we lose Tre White for the playoffs when he was at his peak? -

They'll be fine. -
What a 4th quarter choke job by the Nuggets....let a 12 point lead slip away and wasted a Jokic monster performance. OKC/T-wolves Western Conference Finals should be one to watch, but I'm not counting the Nuggets out just yet.......

ALL ABOARD! as much as posters may agree to disagree there is one thing I think is beyond dispute. NOONE who frequents a place like TBD is a bandwagoner. we all want a Lombardi. I am hopeful and optimistic. and LOOK OUT if it does happen. It will be G L O R I O U S Now I'm getting excited 🙂 slowing my roll until at least preseason is my best play GO BILLS PS: any man who would have issues with his fiance being an actress has no business being engaged to one.

“Original Sin” book release - Biden’s decline cover up

No. I think @leh-nerd skin-erdmakes a good point point about prosecutor overreach and the unusual amount of resources and time the DOJ put into January 6th. The thought that a person's political views didn't impact the decisions of judges and jurors when determining guilt or sentencing of the J6 perpetrators is comical to me. There were a lot of bullcrap right wing conspiracies being floated out there too that these people were all just poor victims of a corrupt judicial system. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle. Most voters weren't naive to the political motivations at play either when casting their vote. I don't think a blanket pardon or commute of over 1500 people federally charged for J6 was appropriate either. One person should not have that much power. I guess my question to the Biden defenders on here is do you think it was appropriate for Biden to give his son "unconditional pardon" before he left office even though he said he wouldn't? If so, why? -

Trey Hendrickson is never coming to the Bills for cap reasons. My biggest hope is he separates from the Bengals and goes to the NFC to weaken one of our AFC rivals -
Peyton has 9 post season appearances, A Super Bowl, and two appearances they didn’t win a playoff game in. He was 9-8 in the playoffs in New Orleans. In a better division by a country mile than McD ever has been in. McD with a better QB has never been to a Super Bowl and has an identical playoff record. So by your exact definition, if McD ever gets one it’s “lightning in a bottle” right? That is unless you want to form your entire argument on a few missed playoff seasons and a few early departures under totally different circumstances. Who was the last Super Bowl winner without 1 all pro level receiving option at TE or WR? Maybe one the last decade?

I dont expect vrabel to put up with a lot of his antics. I see Diggs on his best behavior this yr.

We have enough trouble with emotionally repressed losers picking apart Josh and Hailee's relationship on this forum right now without getting onto Stef and his relationship status.

They are a competent owner away from being a superbowl contender. I know their defense is crap but the right owner could fix that. That team with a mis pack defense is a SB contender They will be a problem this year IMO -

Definitely harms their depth at the position. Hate to see any player injured. He was a very good player in college
