The final play to Shakir. Samuel was wide open for easy TD
BillzFreak replied to MikePJ76's topic in The Stadium Wall
Trey shouldn't be starting, I understand he is a locker room guy but this is about results and he isn't getting any good ones. He is a liability in coverage every time he is out there. We obviously don't know football as good as the coaches do but the tape itself doesn't like. He can't cover...he is to slow now to read and react to plays being targeted his way and he definitely doesn't have the speed to keep up with any receiver with a quick twitch to his game. -

A couple ex-NFL'ers said something similar on TV this morning.. that the Bills don't have any WR's to get behind the D. They said nobody respects the Bills deep passing game because they just don't have the guys and that will cost them down the road when it matters most. -

Sorry for your loss. My dog currently has cancer and I'm cherishing every day I can with her. ***** cancer! -
Not a rookie, but really his 1st season - Gonzalez was the most impactful player on the field yesterday. He's an elite CB.

Good point about Poyer. He understands the defensive scheme extremely well. And plays with an edge to his game. He and Hyde were always great leaders on the defense. -
Ugly, ugly, ugly. Hoping they can give us a good game 3. This has been a disaster so far.

Yeah, statistically the D did OK. But some things were maddening. Why it took so long to put a spy on Maye for example. And their tackling like Bishop’s one whiff. Only other thing I’d say for the D is it’s time to sit Tre down, we love the guy but coming back from an ACL and an Achilles is probably too much to ask. I think they’ll bounce back with a solid outing in Atlanta. Hopefully put both sides together as you indicate. -

It is more when his crew called those penalties and the flag fest in the first half was decidedly tilted Buffalo's way helping establish a game script which puts a team on the receiving end in a hole. It is not just NE, it is whenever I see his crew on the docket for us I cringe. Credit to NE's defense for their plan to stress the right side of pass pro and Josh's tendencies to drift right extending plays. They had that well covered, used some wide nine alignments on that side, an overload and corner blitz from that side, and a spy to close on Allen and force some mistakes. Maye did make some clutch throws, but I would not say that our db's were doing much in the way of contesting throws. The Bills used multiple defenders trying to cover Diggs, but he ran circles around them. Regardless NE has a QB who is showing he can be clutch in high leverage situations and someone they can build around. -
The Refs and this “rigged” league
ChronicAndKnuckles replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still want to see the offensive PI called on Shakir that they conveniently forgot to show a replay of. I knew by the end of the 1st quarter the Bills weren’t winning **** The penalties called on the Patriots later in the game were irrelevant because they were already in the lead. The refs just had to keep the Bills head from getting above water. The most telling penalty was the holding call on the last kick off return (were the Bills the only one holding?) If the returner got it out to the Bills 40 then there’s actually a chance Allen could rifle a pass to someone out of bounds for 20 yards to give Prater the chance to kick a 60+ yarder. The Bills are always near the bottom in penalties. Did they just forget how to play this game ? I’m not buying it. That game was heavily swayed in the Patriots favor. They gave them every opportunity to win it. Hochuli and his father are notoriously terrible. And both never favor Buffalo. -

Name one guy, just one, that opposing offenses are FORCED to reckon with on the defense and gameplan for. And fair warning, if you say Ed Oliver, I will laugh audibly -

I've always been a fan of John Harbaugh if he becomes available. Just throwing a name out there. I actually don't think the bills will or should part ways with McDermott. I'm going to let this season play out before I jump to any conclusions. I think this team can put it together. They came easily go 5-1 entering the bye. -
One of my boys sent me that analytics post about Sanders and his rush pressures. I must admit I was surprised. Hopefully he will continue to get better and feel more comfortable in his role. And I hope he isn't seriously injured. Because you know the Bills never give out much info on our injury situation.

Burrow with an O line that won’t get him killed week in and week out. What impressed me is how well the rookies did for the Pats last night we may finally have had a good draft lmao

Our defense is actually horrendous. And it’s because the guy coaching it is running an incredibly predictable outdated scheme -
Maye played rally well, but I have a feeling any competent QB would look like that vs our D yesterday. Receivers open by 5 yards and wide open lanes to scramble to your right make the job pretty simple. When has Josh ever played against a defense that just gave it to him like that? If Josh played against McD's Defensive scheme, he'd put up 40+ by halftime.

Worst part is McD plays them because they are his trusted vets. Rather see a rookie get beat all over the field than Tre ffs.
