Game week thread - Bengals at Bills (flexed to 1pm ET)
Fan in Chicago replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am going to watch the game with my friend who is Bengals fan. He is similarly unhappy wit the front office for not supporting Burrow adequately. Burrow -
Na he should have drafted Mahomes at 10 in his first year as a HC, played Mahomes over Tyrod in the "Peterman debacle game" seen some good things and continue to play him and just miss the playoffs, see fans call for his head and insert Tyrod back in the lineup since Mahomes just not good enough and eventually force us to trade Mahomes be in position to draft a QB in 2020 and see us draft Tua to replace Tyrod and have us cry for years on end as the QB purgatory never ends.

somebody wake up the wizard

This is a concern. The Bills of the Daboll era wanted to run, sure, but were at least equally able to win by passing it. I'm not sure that's the case under Brady, the Bills are not as multiple in how they can dominate, it's entirely through the run game.
-
I don’t know that anyone is poaching him as an OC and he seems happy here.
-
Thats definitely part of it but yesterday showed how crucial defensive turnovers are to our success. The Bosa hit on Rogers has to be one of the plays of the year by our defense. If we can get even one of those vs the Bengals we will be on our way.

IF the Bills get the ball and score first and hold Burrow and then score again.................. That is how football works and why they play the games and we watch them. Go Bills. -
This is spot on. When we can run we’re a different team. Last night Brady had his way with Davis and Cook. We controlled possessions, the clock and the defense only needed 18 minutes of PT the entire game, but we were still basically one dimensional, no pass game, no creativity or movement in the offensive scheme and when we can’t run we’re cooked. Pitt wasn’t good last night, this helped mask alot of our problems and weaknesses. Sure we played hard last against Pitt but I still see the same issues as before with Brady, the scheme and the pass game.

Agreed. They’re trying. And Beane even tried for something big at the trade deadline. My only issue there was he should’ve put his eggs in another basket.. not going after an interdivision WR. BUT …really glad they seem to have finally moved on from Samuel. Let’s hope Cooks provides more than his lackluster efforts. I have hope Brady and the passing offense can turn it around. I suspect we’ll know after 2 weeks. Bengals and Pats will be tough to beat without more of a passing offense… I think.

He didn't play a lot

Unless it happened on a previous play, I don't see how it's even possible for Allen to have kneed Heyward from this angle.
-
Here is a good replay where Heyward gets mad the first time. I’m seeing absolutely nothing here. I think he either got hit in the nuts accidentally and thought it was Allen, or he manufactured it out of thin air because he’s a big fat baby.

Shavers was great in run blocking yesterday.

Kromer is the man. I would’ve loved to see him be the interim head coach. Feel like we may lose him soon and keep the same lame duck coach staff in place
