Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats
Fan in Chicago replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would pay good money to have him argue with you on a show. đ I think this has more likelihood of backfiring on him than helping him in playoff officiating. -
Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats

Yep, the same owner who aside from being involved in at least a conspiracy in regard to Spygate and the rest of Billicheatsâ shenanigans should have been criminally prosecuted for soliciting prostitution from sex workers at strip mall massage parlors (can anyone say âsex traffickingâ?) and yet he might be going into the HOF this year. Throughout the game whenever they glowingly mentioned him and the HOF it was such a disgrace. The hypocrisy and degree of the double standard heâs enjoyed is why Vrabel and anyone linked to the Patsies are so frigging entitled. -
I've already made my peace that we lost the division. Yesterday's game was awesome but mainly it just keeps us in the driver's seat for the #5 seed. I have zero faith that Tua is going to lead a deflated Miami team into snowy cold Foxborough and win that game. In fact I'm more confident in the Jets upsetting them if Tyrod can get healthy, but that is obviously also a very low probability outcome. So yeah I'm all about making the road path as easy as possible. Something like @ Pittsburgh, @ New England, vs Houston? I mean that's a dream and it's entirely realistic if we win out and Pittsburgh wins the AFCN.

More whining incoming when we beat them again in the playoffs. -
I replayed that Henderson run a couple times. I think it was Walker who came into the scrum late and just starting pushing the pile. If he just stayed where he was, he couldâve at least set the edge or forced Henderson to have to go around him and give the DBs a better shot at him. Of course, why wasnât there a LB or safety ready on the back end in case the RB reversed field. What do they think theyâre gaining by joining the scrum? Iâm sure McD and his staff will address this in film review. Yes, it should be embarrassing for a head coach coming from the defensive side to have a defense like this. If you keep changing D-Line players every year and it doesnât get any better, then it must be the LBs and/or scheme. They should grab Red Murdoch from UB. That guy can hit, fight off blocks and tackle.

These two bullet points are what the offense has to be the rest of the year. It is proven at this point that the less the WRs are involved as pass catchers and the more we pound the run with Cook, the more effective our offense is. All season long I have seen fans wondering why Brady doesn't dial up deep shots. And then without exception every time he does Allen either holds the ball and has to check it down or one of his crappy WRs fails to complete the catch. It's almost satire that our WRs are better run blockers than pass catchers but that is the truth and we need to lean into it. On the flip side, I just listened to Joe Marino's all-22 review and he pointed out that Josh McDaniels only called 3 runs in the entire 2nd half yesterday. One of them of course was the long TD run which makes the play calling even more perplexing. The Pats were leading by 10 the first time they got the ball and were always winning or down by 4 at most, and they just totally abandoned the part of their offense we had been unable to stop. That would have driven me mad if Brady had made a fatal error like that. Brady, for all that I've criticized him, understands that you have to keep running even if it isn't working early. Even if it starts to feel predictable. Eventually you wear the opponent down and with this offense as constructed once we get some momentum we are very very tough to stop.

The thing that gives me hope for the Steelers is the schedule for the Ravens is very tough to finish the season. New England @Green Bay @ Pittsburgh Thats about as tough as it gets. If Pittsburgh has a 1 game lead and beat the Browns the Ravens canât win the division in week 18 so Iâm kind of with you. Iâve hemmed and hawed on it and I think Iâm okay either way being a WC road team this year if the matchups are right

We gotta see these guys a third time given this river of tears ⌠Just play 4 quarters instead of 2 and the Bills will be fine -
Tough call lol

Exactly. It's so obvious but people just don't want to see it that way

Vrabel whining about the officiating in Bills/Pats

This is how much we destroyed Vrabel's ego... that he's reduced to whining about the refs on a talk show like a talking head. Wow. He fits in perfectly at Gilette. Another whining cheater. -
Born in Lubbock, spent time in Austin, died in beautiful Taos NM. First Raul Malo, now Joe Ely. Another American original gone.

Regarding #6: Please donât tell me, McD, that youâre resorting to watching the video screen for replays, an infamous Rex-ism. You need to have someone on your extensive staff to be assigned to watch the replays on a tablet or whatever to quickly determine a possible challenge. If this is true, McD just lost some faith from me.

If youâre going to ever shift to that course of change, you have to scrap divisions completely to make it fair. Something I feel most fans will not want. Rivalries are a huge portion of the game and if you keep divisions in tact, there should be some reward for winning your division regardless of your record. Keeping divisions actually retains some parity in the league by allowing one in every 4 teams a chance at hosting a playoff game and generating more money to that city and its infrastructure. Plus, itâs an added boost to the fans getting that extra game to watch their team at home. On top of that you might be scrapping the whole strength of scheduling which is a huge tiebreaker difference in terms of seeding.

Game week thread - Bills at Browns

I agree. It absolutely penalizes the team with a better regular season record. The seeding by record doesn't and never will. It's the fairest of systems. However, I'm getting a clear message here that fans really value divisional games and rivalries within that exist. A new playoff seeding system as presented would or could negatively effect divisional importance. Personally, I'm always going to side on the fairest system that rewards results appropriately. It's simple math...

Thatâs an awesome post @Mikie2times! Where did you pull that data/table from if you donât mind me asking? Seeing hidden variables in teams that can be extrapolated over the course of a season are always a fascinating look/read.

Surprised how many people are picking Denver. It's a matchup league and I think we match up well with them. They're basically the same team we blew out in the wildcard round last year. Ultimately I just don't think a QB like Bo Nix can out duel a QB like Allen in sudden death. This is my ranking from most worried to least worried, with lines denoting significant gaps between teams: Baltimore --- Houston Jacksonville New England Denver --- --- --- LA Pittsburgh

Donât think itâs as much of their defense but rather their offense. Josh can make things happen and strain that defense enough to put us in a position to win the game. The Broncos skill players, specifically Sutton/Harvey/Franklin/Engram (in that order) are more of a daunting task to face than their defense. Thatâs just me though.
