I don't believe this build of the team is capable of ripping off that many games in a row. Extremely 1-dimensional on offense and a paper tiger on defense. If a team stops their run-game, and knows every time tecmo Joe Brady dials up the screen to Shakir, they are punting a bunch. Tampa and Houston's defenses are a big test.

Yea, but it’s only been since 2020 that only the 1 seed gets a bye. That’s one less game to lose, one less game to get injured, and a huge advantage versus any other seed. Also, what’s the distribution of AFC seeds that have gone into the SB since 1976? Even though “only” 15 times for one seeds, I presume it’s still more than any other seed. That same relationship likely holds for the NFC too.

I would take McDaniels over Brady any day. Brady's offensive scheme is awful. -
Diggs is a pile of human garbage. He dropped one of the biggest passes in Bills history. Good riddance. It's not that Diggs left, it's that we adopted this stupid everybody eats mantra as an excuse to not sign, trade for or draft a quality receiver.
-
Well we netted TJ Sanders so we’ll see what happens there. I was a bit indifferent with Diggs being shipped off. It had obviously become a team problem and the dude rarely showed up in the playoffs. Once or twice? Sure. But your #1 guy who dominated the regular season has to make some of the catches he was missing. Can’t fire someone on that basis. Now if he ends up producing these playoffs for New England??? Yeah, it’ll be a bummer.

Obviously, we don't know how long they are projecting the Kincaid and Mathis injuries are going to be for. But if they need a few weeks, IR isn't out of the question for either one which will open up some roster spots. As of now, though, they are still on the active roster and we have 1 spot available. You would have to think Sanders is the logical choice to fill that vacant spot. With Mathis going down, and even with him healthy, we need more help at DT so Sanders makes a lot of sense to activate if he's ready to go. If one or both of Kincaid and Mathis go to IR, I would expect Davis to be signed to the 53 providing he is truly healthy. The other option is to release Codrington to open up a spot. I think this is likely to happen as soon as Hardman is up to speed a bit on the special teams side of things and has enough on offense to run in a couple of packages. Who knows.....that could happen this week. But signing Davis to the 53 prevents them from having to waste 2 call ups on WRs. This way, you could make Hardman and Fox your call ups if Benford is ready to roll. But with our nickle guys still banged up, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jackson elevated even if he isn't activated. Regardless, there should be a lot of roster gymnastics over the next 24 hours.

Josh McDaniels was the offensive coordinator under spags in 2011 with a second year Sam Bradford and was 32nd scoring with the rams. Bradford started 10 games... He was then the offensive coordinator for the raiders in 2022 with Derek Carr and 12th and scoring... In 2009 with Kyle Orton he was 20th in scoring I'm going to look up Saint Doug and see what he did in 2014 with Kyle Orton and compare it... -

Spagnolo was also a terrible head coach…absolutely meaningless when discussing his ability as a coordinator. -
I think Joe Brady's offense (along with another divisional round loss) were the final straws for Stefon Diggs. Yes, his antics were getting worse each season. But that seemed to be the point when he was officially done as a Buffalo Bill. After watching Brady's system for the last 2 years, I'm convinced that he mostly wants to use the team's #1 WR as a decoy. The main purpose is to draw away coverage and clear space for the safer underneath stuff. When Brady took over as OC in 2023, Diggs production (targets, catches, yards, etc.) immediately went down... and Khalil Shakir's production immediately went up. The assumption was that maybe Diggs was secretly injured, on the downside of his career or even dogging it. But this year in New England is proving that wasn't the case at all. Diggs is still a superstar in this league. So what happened the final two months of that season? Without Diggs, the Bills passing offense started slow in 2024. Fans seem to forget this, because the offense finished at the top of the NFL. But in reality, the pass game was meh in Weeks 1-2 and then fell apart in Weeks 4-5 (where everybody was complaining our outside WRs couldn't get open). So Beane pulled off the trade for Amari Cooper. The passing game turned around almost immediately after acquiring Cooper, even though his stats were almost non-existent. That's because defenses had to respect his route-running ability, making him an effective decoy for Brady's short attack. In the offseason, Cooper was considered an after-thought. After all the guy only had 20 catches and under 300 yards for the Bills. Many even believed that Josh Palmer (a career #3 for the Chargers) was going to be an upgrade. But nobody realized Cooper was really the lynchpin in our passing attack. Because he was the only outside WR on our roster that teams respected. "Everybody Eats" is a good idea in principle. But it's very difficult to execute properly. It's good to spread the ball around to many different options. It's good that a QB isn't pressured to force-feed his top WR. It's good that defenses can't focus on stopping a single weapon. It's good not to have a distraction-causing diva in the locker room. But there are times when you need that top WR who can win 1-on-1 and get open. If you don't have that guy, defenses know they can dedicate less resources towards stopping the outside guys. That spirals down to the rest of the offense. And you will also have a really tough time keeping a #1 WR happy when your plan is making him a decoy.

It's not mutually exclusive... McDaniel's is not a joke simply because he failed as a head coach.... there are numerous other reasons why he's a joke that go beyond just Tim Tebow We all know what they are. -
How the hell is Thompson listed as Full but questionable? Never have seen this before that I can remember.

One seed is not all it's cracked up to be. Since 1976 (almost 50 years), fifteen AFC one seeds have gone to SB. Six won.

Your last sentence is a contradiction in terms. -
I took the part that you put in quotes, but edited my post my post to add in the full sentences you posted. I am not sure that matters, but I certainly don't want to project the way I feel you and Tibs have. I now understand that you think I was equating Biden pardoning certain people with the horrific nature of Epstein's crimes. I have no idea how you arrived at that, whether you thought I was writing in secret code, or if I just typed the wrong words and you noodled it all out. That's for you to figure out---I didn't mention Epstein. I did not assume the people Biden pardoned are involved with Epstein in any way, shape or form. I would have said that if I did. I didn't. I hope that is clear to you now. Though, now that you (not me) have brought it up, it would not surprise me if any of those people pardoned--his brother, dopey son, Faucci---were involved with Epstein, who seems to cater to wealthy and famous people. Other notable wealthy and famous people I am not assuming are involved, but would not surprise to hear that they were: You know what, I started typing names and it's easier to just say the following: -Any A+ list actor or celebrity; -Any upper echelon politician from any party; -Any member of the UN; -Any powerful manager of money -lots more people

Of course it does. If Josh McDaniels thinks Tebow is not just a viable quarterback but a viable quarterback that's worth trading draft picks for in the first round then that tells me everything I need to know. Obviously I'm being a little bit funny and he's a decent offensive mind but I stand by my statement that he's a joke. We'll see what happens in December and January and how good of a play caller he is... I think it's going to be ugly honestly -

Again, this has literally nothing to do with his talent as a playcaller. Literally nothing. -

Yes. Exactly. The two positions are not the same. Steve Spagnuolo was a total failure as a head coach (he had a bad team, but whatever), but are we to declare him a joke because of that? -

It's literally true lol. It's why McDaniels was fired and Denver was forced to basically run a triple option offense. If you don't believe me go look it up -

I dont think the poster understands McDaniels as a HC (all excuses aside) versus McDaniels as a OC. If you want to talk about him as a HC, yes he was a joke but as OC, genius. -

That has literally nothing to do with offensive playcalling. Keep believing that all the way to a Bills wild card appearance this season and no home playoff games. -
Who do we want, who do we need as our next HC and, or GM?

The Von Miller deal may have been one of the worst signings in Bills history. -
If Brady becomes a HC I would bring him back.

I hope that everyone who's close to ready plays this week. No more sitting guys out if they can play. Send a message that this game and opponent is important unlike last week.
