  1. Past hour
  2. I agree that I don't loathe Tom Brady any more now that he has stopped hurting me. I wish I would have enjoyed Michael Jordan more back in the 90s. I couldnt stand the front running kids who would wear air jordans and had all sorts of Bulls/Jordan posters in their lockers and stuff. I rooted against him and hated the NBA.
  3. At least Dungy won a SB in Indy. I thought he should have won one with the Bucs. Dungy's defenses were always great.
  4. Trump Astride at Seven Months Victor Davis Hanson Seven months in, Trump has curbed illegal immigration, steadied the economy, and scored foreign policy wins—while Democrats flounder without a counteragenda. Trump’s greatest achievement within six months was simply ending illegal immigration as we had once known it—without “comprehensive immigration reform” or any other rhetorical trickery. It remains difficult to find, much less deport, the 10 to 12 million illegal aliens who entered in the last four years. Those who helped break the law, by design or indifference, now believe it was moral to destroy federal immigration law but immoral to uphold it. And it is still unclear whether Joe Biden’s handlers deliberately sabotaged their own border for political and demographic purposes out of sheer orneriness or utter incompetence. Many of the left’s cherished totems—massive Green New Deal subsidies, the diversity/equity/inclusion industry, biological males competing in women’s sports, and the USAID revolving door—are either comatose or in their death throes. The historic drop-off in military recruitment reversed shortly after Trump took office. Republican voter registration is up, and Democratic registration is down. Abroad, Trump finds remarkable successes. For now, there are pauses in the fighting between India and Pakistan, Egypt and Somalia, Cambodia and Thailand, Rwanda and Congo, Serbia and Kosovo, and Armenia and Azerbaijan. Much credit is due to Trump for brokering ceasefires. Iran will not get a bomb in the next four years—as seemed likely when Biden left office. The Middle East’s current most grotesque terrorist cadres and states—Iran, Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis—are far weaker than they were when Trump entered office in January. There is at least some engagement in envisioning the outlines of a ceasefire in Trump’s inherited Ukraine War. The rub is finding the degree of ordnance necessary to convince Putin that increasing Russia’s casualties to more than one million will endanger his own (Excerpt) Read more at amgreatness.com ...https://amgreatness.com/2025/09/04/trump-astride-at-seven-months/ ,
  5. Too many hits for ol Joe. No one is starting a franchise with Herbert over Mahomes...
  6. A sophomore slump for Daniels might hurt you as don't like your backup QBs if have to count on them as a QB1 if anything should happen. Yet on the whole I like your squad so long some of the injured guys you took for depth recover.
  7. I think he has made a conscious effort to open up more to the media. And since that is the only glimpse we ever get into McDermott as a person and a coach, it makes him seem different to us. But I think it didn't start this year, it started last year.
  8. There can’t be excuses this year. It’s time to get it done. A summer of injuries didn’t exactly make me confident in this. We can say that it’s luck, but you can make your own luck by not signing guys like Curtis Samuel and running an undersized defense that gets beat up over the course of the season because you don’t believe in 1 techs or getting out of Nickel. Really want to be proven wrong this season. Theres a ton of potential on this team, but Bosa health, Kincaid/Coleman/Bishop development and hitting on DL draft picks all need to hit for the most part.
  9. I actually meant back if a shorthand for cigarette packet but that was starred out!
  10. True. Hopefully McD won't squander the talent the Bills have collected (like Dungy in Indy).
  11. I regret to inform you that this nuanced position that fails on the TDS 24/7/365 metric makes you full MAGA....to leftists.
  12. Dan Orlovsky: "The Bills could really help Josh Allen out by employing more play-action passing" Stephen A Smith in response:
  13. Roberto Clemente. Couldn't stand Clemente when he took down my Orioles in the 1971 World Series, but read a great book about him last summer which really focused on what a great man he was. My respect for him has grown immensely.
  14. Nedboi! 😂
  15. I listened to the Night Cap on WGR driving home last night and they did the replay of McDermott's presser and I got the same vibe. Opposite the OP, I think it was the same old McDermott using the same old words/phrases..."process", "getting better", "always looking to improve." But what hit me the most was how he sounded so much like Don Granato. Obviously McDermott is so much more successful, but listening to Granato on WGR several times driving home in the past, I realized last night it sounded eerily similar. I started out as a big supporter of McDermott, but the last few years I've been on the fence. I guess I'm still on the fence, but I'm getting awfully close to falling off. It just feels like we may have seen his ceiling. He's done a fantastic job make the Bills a consistent winner. I'm just not sure he can get us across the finish line.
  16. Where’s the lie?
  17. I think Allen is more off script than Mahomes.
  18. The SNL Jane Curtin/Dan Ackroyd point/counterpoint bit on an unimaginable obnoxious level. Who da thunk it?
  19. As far as the playoffs are concerned, JA is statistically the best we've seen. He has dramatically stepped up his game when it matters most. McDermott's defenses, on the other hand, have completely melted down when it matters most and statistically one of the worst ever. Mahomes is a great QB, but Andy Reid has the formula and his defenses have been markedly improved come playoff time.
  20. It was 100% coaching that blew that
  21. Physically yes, though there is an argument to be made that Allen has work his mechanics up to where he is now and Mahomes does not seem to have that issue coming into NFL, and I'd still argue Mahomes is generally more accurate than Allen, short and long balls. The bigger gap is above the shoulders. It took Allen until last year to put together an MVP season, primarily in the decision-making part in my opinion. Common sense tells me it is hard for people at the top to working extremely hard to improve. I don't know Mahomes and pretty sure he's very self motivated and competitive. But extremely physically gifted and winning all these superbowls have to have an impact on him. Brady won all the time too but he's NOT that physically talented so he knew he had to continuously working to compensate for that. Guys like Allen and Jackson have an obvious target in front of them. It is easier to dig deep to find ways to catching up.
  22. Where has the growth been by McD? His D scheme remains the same. His demonstrable “ pucker factor” was on display last playoffs as it has always been. We ALL want to see him do better but that is just a wish.
  23. None of us who are trying to talk some of yall off the ledge would be surprised if we lost. Gun to my head, I’d probably take the Ravens because we do have a ton of unproven guys that will be playing a lot of snaps on Sunday Night… Walker, Sanders, Jackson or Solomon, Bishop, Coleman, Kincaid etc., along with CB2 being an injury concern. That said.. Ravens are down Likely, maybe Ricard and we’re playing at home. Last home opener ever at the current stadium. We also have no idea what this team is schematically. Elite OL, Josh Allen, expected improvement at WR with guys who can get open and Brady with another full offseason. Tons of continuity on Offense. On Defense, while the young guys could struggle, they also might be ready. Maybe we did finally hit on DL in Sanders and Walker. Maybe Bishop does make a Bernard type jump. What does our Defense look like schematically? Reports from practice are that this is a very aggressive defense. What does that mean? How does that impact the Ravens. What does our starting DL look like with a healthy Bosa? Ravens don’t seem to have all those questions, so I get it.. but some of these posts are downright comical.
  24. That’s just silly. Nothing ever happened until it did.
