Maguire's Beer
But it's not an exact comparison. Evans is never going to make tough catches over the middle, and Reed is never going to be a deep sideline threat. If forced to choose, I'd take Reed over Evans any day (based on work ethic and effort). But they complement each other nicely. Agreed. They have different roles. But it's more difficult to find people who can assume Evans' role -- that is, it's harder to find guys with serious wheels who can bust coverage and get a handle on long passes. DC Tom
It was under the tab "wait until we're down 3 TDs with virtually no chance of winning". WTG, Perry. Coming up small in the winnable games. As usual. Hey, remember last week, when New Orleans implemented that "bring the entire !@#$ing world down on the QB's head every play" defense? I want to know where the hell THAT game plan is today, against a rookie QB in his first start.

Nyghtewynd
Does Jauron have a contract with TMQ to ensure that he writes 1/5th of his column on Buffalo's fraidy-cat punts every week? Is he getting a kickback for them or something?
jad1
This fact that this team does not compete is disgusting. They're in the same place that San Fran was last season until they made the switch to Singletary. That's what this team needs, the sooner the better. Mike in Syracuse
For all his faults as a QB Trent's biggest is that he's not a leader. You don't have to be the greatest natural talent but you have got to LEAD your freaking team. I'd love to see Edwards grab someone by the facemask or get in someone's grill the way Kelly did but that's never going to happen. The saddest part is that it's going to get worse before it gets better.

BillsVet
Its gonna be an ugggggllllyyy game against the Browns this weekend. They actually played with some heart today, wouldn't be surprised to see the Bills lose that game by a large margin. Oh well. If (and this is a huge pipe dream) RW fired DJ, would it be worth it? I'll say this, besides about 5-7 players, the roster is extremely thin. Cutting costs on depth players and not keeping guys like Peters makes it possible for RW to say the team was young and injured frequently.
DC Tom
I think the truly sad thing at this point is: they're not even entertainingly bad. There's no surprises, no completely blown bizarre plays. They're just stultifyingly inept.
zow2
i kinda hope the Browns wax us next week. I just want to see a complete implosion at OBD. I'd also like to see Fitz get a shot to run this offense. I don't see Trent improving much. HE seemed to have hit his peak and now is regressing. John Adams
Puts our best player on the field. Copycat. 1-Moorman. 2-Stroud. 3-Jackson. 4-Reed. ... The rest=Asswipes.
Alaska Darin
Why not fitzpatrick? I've been asking myself the same question since his second interception. I don't know what Jauron is thinking but it's time to stop coddling the kid and send the message that he's got to perform or he's done.
MichFan
Punting the ball guarantees that there can be no comeback. Yet again, this team is trying to manage the margin of loss. Edwards is an idiot for checking down on 3rd and 6 -- better to take a chance and get picked again than to look like a freaking idiot. This team is an embarrasment. I hope TO calls everyone out tonight.
DC Tom
With the 1st pick in the 2009 NFL draft the Buffalo Bills select... Another QB, who they'll then proceed to coach over the next three years to be cowardly and ineffective.
