fasteddie Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I don't know if it's a big snafu or on purpose, but there are no announcers. The field audio can be heard. It brings me back to the NFL game with no announcers. At least there were graphics showing down and distance, etc. Odd, indeed! 1 2 Quote

YoloinOhio Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I have announcers but what I would like is for our local cbs affiliate to remove the constant weather update taking up 1/3 of the screen. It’s almost 2026 bruh we have phones and internet and if not we can look out the window. We know it’s snowing. 2 1 Quote
JPL7 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Damn. I got excited by your original post. Turned the game on, and these guys are yapping away. 😞 1 1 Quote
MJS Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It would be the best if they just had a calm voice announce the down and distance and then the result of the play. Nothing else. I would absolutely love that. Then show important replays with no voice over at all. Just show it from different angles and in slow motion, etc. Gosh, I would love that. 2 1 Quote
ChronicAndKnuckles Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Announcers have gotten terrible. Maybe i’m in the minority, but i hate when Tony Romo does all of our Chiefs games. Better than Collinsworth I guess? But i think the NFL said something to Romo because he’s not as great as he was his first couple years. He’s just a caricature of himself now. Oh how i miss John Madden 1 Quote
JPL7 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago (edited) Announcers just need to “let the game breathe” as I like to call it. Allow the game to come to you (the commentator), don’t force words just to fill empty space. There’s nothing wrong with a bit of silence during a broadcast. But these guys are apparently instructed to babble on incessantly, because they ALL do it. Not to mention the inane useless sideline reporter coach interviews at halftime or post game. The situation with Justin Herbert after the Monday night football game the other night with Laura Rutledge. It’s a perfect example that these guys don’t care to do these pointless interviews immediately after a game. And they also aren’t interesting or educational to the fans. It’s the same unnecessary question with the milqtoast response from the athlete. Edited 2 hours ago by JPL7 1 1 Quote

We don't need to know the details of a three yard run on 2nd down. 1 Quote

Sometime when I switch to a 4k channel on satellite I’ll get no announcers but everyone else has them Quote

If there was a drawback to Mark Kelso on the radio broadcasts, it was the amount of information that he would shoehorn in after every play. Good work on his part, just too much of it. It might have been due to Murphy's lack of detail on the play that had just occurred. Quote

When I flipped it over from the SU game, at 2 minutes left in the half, the announcers were blathering away. Just like they never left. Quote

After the game the reporter came up to Herbert just ask him two questions And he wanted the brush her off and said he wanted to celebrate with his teammates But these guys are being paid to be professionals and answer these questions that's what the guy who made the first post talking about it doesn't realize It is in their contracts that they have to answer those questions for the reporters after the game.. the quarterback does You're not allowed just to rush it off it's part of why you're getting paid hundreds of millions of dollars.. But then Herbert answered the questions because he even knows he can't brush it off Quote
Old Coot Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago My dad used to watch the game on TV but with the volume down. He'd substitute the radio broadcast audio of the game. For those who find the tv announcers annoying try this. Quote

Only problem with that is the game is not synced lol The radio will be probably at least a full play ahead I used to do that with Van Miller and the bills back in the day Quote

Augie Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I’ve got announcers in this game, but I will give them credit because I can clearly hear what they are saying. It varies more game to game than network to network, I think, but sometimes it’s almost impossible to hear the commentators words due to jacking up the mix of the band and the crowd and all the other noises. I’m getting to where I mute it entirely on a bad broadcast. I am fully aware that I am not at the stadium, and I’d like to hear it if they tell me something informative. Quote

I had exact same problem, turned tv off and back on after 30 seconds and voila it worked. Are you using Directv? Quote
