Richard Noggin Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Using dumb ESPN's playoff simulator, I ran through the last five weeks of the season without thinking too much, just picking each game as objectively as I could. Here was the result (only took me a couple minutes): I hate it a lot, tbh. So many bad matchups for the Bills. In my simulation, for what it's worth, the Bills lose the next two and then win the last three. I really hope that isn't what actually transpires, but going 3-2 the rest of the way IS reasonable. Could also see arguments for going 4-1, which would have interesting ramifications. for the rest of the AFC. What bracket do YOU come up with after picking the last five weeks of the season? (I tried not to think about any future implications when picking. And I tried to apply an ugly level of objectivity.) 1 Quote
Thurman#1 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Geez!! Interesting! I like the bracket you came up with. KC could beat New England, and we'd get the home game, and Los Angeles probably will beat Jax, another home game if we played them. I don't mind this at all. Though it'd be a ton better if we won the division, of course. I wouldn't like playing Cincy away, but if we lose the division it's not that bad out of all the other possible results. And - admitting that it's still way early to try this exercise - I don't think I'd have many differences. Quote
Sojourner Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Think that’s a reasonable outcome and not a bad one where we slot. Do flip Denver and New England for me personally. The Broncos have played some hit or miss football and have been escaping losses. Their remaining schedule isn’t as easy as the Pats. 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Noggin, first I always enjoy your posts. With that said, the Bucs (my second home, but Buffalo is always in my heart) are 7-5. They face the Saints, Falcons and Panthers. Which of these three teams, which two do you think are goi g to beat the Bucs. They are going for their 6th NFCS division winner. They just had Irving and Godwin returned for the Crds game. That will make them appreciably better. You have them at 10-7, and I’m stating they probably go 11-6 to 12-5. Your other standings for each team seem reasonable. I see the Bills at 11-6 if they have nothing to play for in the last game. The Pats may beat us, but I believe we beat the Eagles, Jet’s, and Browns. Looks like you had fun with it so good for you. Quote

If Cincy is winning out in this scenario, it means they beat the Bills and then us going to Cincinnati for the wild card round is Doomsday. The Bills with Sean McDermott have never beaten the Bengals with Joe Burrow at QB. This would be rough. 1 Quote

Bills strength is the running game, Bengals have one of worst run defenses in the league. I’ll take it. 5 minutes ago, Warriorspikes51 said: 11-6 and road game against Burrow and Chase? Gregg Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago You have a better chance of seeing McDermott bench Allen and have me start at QB for the Bills then you do in seeing the Bengals in the playoffs this year. They are 4-8 and will not run the table with that OL and defense. It doesn't matter that Burrow is back either. 1 Quote

In the 2022 playoff game against the Bengals the Bills DL was supposed to have a field day against the decimated OL of Cincinnati, however it ended up being the Bills healthy OL that got bullied all game. Until we actually beat that Bengals team I don't want to see them in the playoffs, especially at their field. But maybe this is the week we prove we can handle Burrow and Chase. 1 Quote
LabattBlue Posted 52 minutes ago Posted 52 minutes ago Just wondering what a “dishonest” playoff bracket looks like? 😉 Quote

I see Elway/T.D.avis circa 97/98 all over this thing Lets go Edited 14 minutes ago by ProcessTruster Quote

Cinci has to beat buffalo and Baltimore and then they play Miami, Arizona and Cleveland. If they win the first 2 which is certainly possible, they’ll most likely end up 9-8 The ravens have to play Pittsburgh twice, @ Cinci, vs NE and @GB. if Cinci wins out, Baltimore is out even if they sweep the Steelers and beat either of the pats or packers while losing the other and vs Cinci. Joe burrow has won 10 of his last 11 games in December. Theres a MUCH greater chance of that happening than there is Josh getting benched. hopefully we can end their season on Sunday so we don’t have to worry about it. 1 Quote

corta765 Posted 32 minutes ago Posted 32 minutes ago AFC 1. DEN 2. NE 3. JAX 4. BAL 5. BUF 6. HOU 7. KC (f*ck) NFC 1. PHI 2. LAR 3. GB 4.TB 5. SEA 6. CHI 7. SF AFC title DEN over HOU NFC title LAR over TB SB LAR over DEN It is a weird weird year AFC wise so I expect something wild. NFC wise TB when healthy is a unit and they are getting their guys back and Baker leads a run to the NFC title game before falling short. I still think the Rams are the best team in the NFL and when push comes to shove they outlast everyone. Unfortunately I have the Bills losing in BAL as it just feels like an atrocious matchup with the run defense and we lose something like 27-23 and everyone is very mad because the WR corp fails us in the biggest moment. (I hope I am wrong with everything I said in this last sentence) Quote

I just don't see them running the table. I think they lose this week and could very well lose to the Ravens. I know the Bengals beat them last week, but those AFCN games are usually wars. I would not be surprised at all if the Ravens win the rematch. Miami is trying to desperately get back in the playoff race as well. As the Bills found out the Dolphins game isn't an easy one either.
