Why is everyone acting like Ingram was some all pro player all of a sudden?

He was a fringe player, has been inactive the past few weeks (healthy scratch).

And we tried to get an upgrade on waiver wire.  It didnt work, so we add Dane Jackson or another fringe player to the 53...what's the big deal?

Because it's not about Ingram being a fringe player. Its a small reflection of beanes incompetence. If you are incompetent here, what else should I look at to make sure you're not missing anything....

Maybe incompetence is a strong word. But clearly he doesn't look good here and is left holding the bag.

You also create potential vulnerability because anytime you show yourself a sucker, it simply attracts more attention from ppl or institutions that want to also exploit the situation...

A previous poster said just release him to avoid further embarrassment. This is true also. Maybe drew rosenhouse opens up a can of worms on whatever information he has....

It's just an all around bad look from a gm.

Well, we know how this ends.  Allen will be driving the Bills late in the AFC playoffs, Ingram subs in for an injury and makes the game saving play for the Texans 🙈

…or the Bills release Slay, he signs with the Eagles, and in the Bills vs Eagles SB, Slay makes the game saving interception with the Bills driving for the win. 😞

Solid special teams guy gone and also down a CB for Cincinnati.  Nice job of GM’ing Beane.

Yeah he really screwed that one up…. Unless he did his due diligence and was told that he would join the bills, only to have them change their minds after the fact.

Texans got it.

we lost.  This is a major blunder

Yea this is a pretty bad fumble. I know JI was nothing special defensively, but he could hold down the CB role and is a real good 'teamer.

Lost him for potentially nothing.

Or we have an injury or 2 at CB  down the stretch, then have to start to some practice squad player and its another excuse..."so and so had to start and he was just signed week 14 what do expect."

Pretty embarrassing scenario for the Bills front office and now they lost a player they liked and are stuck carrying slay on the 53 this week (as of now) which puts the team down a player.  He will just be inactive but still.

Beane has got to have one in the grave and one on a banana peel within the organization right now.  He literally has not made a move this offseason that has worked out. Its been a disaster.

I am not a huge fan of BB(or McD), but what about Thompson, Bosa & Prater?

And he’s always one inevitable injury away from getting snaps at dime safety.
I hope this doesn’t come into play come playoffs.

what about them.  Thompson has spent as much time hurt as anything and prater missed an extra point two weeks ago which prevented them from kicking a game tying field goal in houston and then lost the game.

Bosa has been just ok.  He had big games against some of the worst offenses imaginable in Pittsburgh and the jets.  Outside of those games he played well against kc and was ok vs carolina.  Outside of that he has been awful vs the run and now in the critical part of the season vs teams in the conference we have to beat over the next two weeks he will be watching the games like you and I.

Beane signed a bunch of guys who always get hurt and now they are all hurt.  These were expensive contracts, not just 1 year 2.5 million or something.  Its a substantial number and they are all just going to be standing around watching the game.

it was a horrible offseason.  The draft had a ton of potential and now it really looks like hairston will probably be the only one on the field who has potential to make a game altering play as we get to the most important part of the season and hopefully make the playoffs.  Walker might make a play like that also but he really has leveled out to a pretty average rookie recently.  Hopefully he makes some plays sunday.

The team is 8-4 through all of this.  Hopefully they find a way.
