JJ McCarthy has shown absolutely nothing. I know it's pretty much his rookie year but the ones who have it at least show glimpses. I don't think he does.

I could be dead wrong and I am a Michigan homer, but I still think McCarthy is going to be great. They need to be patient with him. These early injuries have really derailed him.

I just haven't seen anything at all from him that says he is gonna be any good. I could be wrong, but usually rookie QBs show something. I can't think of a single good thing I have seen from him yet

Could not agree more.  He was over drafted and has bust city written all over him.

I have been surprised he hasn’t flashed more especially with all those elite receiving options and a QB whisperer as a head coach. But I do like his moxy and he is a natural winner. I think his two wins this year showed some glimpses of it.

But nowadays, QBs have such a short runway. I can see them walking away from him next year.

I never understood why he was rated so highly coming out of Michigan.

Minnesota should have kept Darnold. The blew it and set their franchise back another 3-5 years. Now Jefferson will want out too.

They’re going to have to figure out what to do with Addison and Mason too

Bills need to offer 2 first round picks for this guy…enough nickel and diming the WR room…

Then I would draft another in the middle rounds…

If only we could’ve drafted him

We had an equally good player who is continuing to elevate the level of play in New England.  We simply missed the mark on keeping him part of this offense.  That is on Brady.

2 firsts and Keon is my first phone call if I’m Beane in the offseason.

They would be more likely to do the deal without Keon Coleman

Meanwhile we are going to have to figure out what to do with Palmer, Samuel, and Knox 🤣

Harbaugh jumped his draft up so much.  Until Harbaugh signed with Chargers, I don’t recall many pundits having J.J. even in the first round. He just happened to get drafted in a qb needy draft.  He was what, the 5th QB taken?  Any other year, he would have been a late 2nd/3rd rounder.

It would be silly to ignore the growing rift between Diggs and the coaching staff dating as far back as Dorsey, at least. And then of course the rift grew to freeze out Josh Allen as well. (Might even have been reciprocated, privately, at that point.)

But yes, the Brady-led offense has had major issues consistently getting the ball to WRs who run routes past the line of scrimmage. Diggs, to his discredit, also failed to come through in the playoffs the last couple seasons he was in Buffalo, on an individual level. Moving on simply had to happen, unfortunately.
