This is supposed to be your year and there was never a better opportunity.

Then you lose to the Dolphins.

Joe Burrow is committing career suicide with the Bengals(and his injuries are his fault), pretty much leaving the AFC to Josh and Patrick. Now, Lamar is about to make a brief appearance(after 2026 he should decline).

You were looking good. You have virtually HFA over KC and whoever comes out of the AFC North. The Colts are a sitting duck. But you are behind the Patriots in your division. The Chiefs are behind Denver.

This is the 2008 version of the Mahomes and Allen rivalry. Brady got knocked out all year and Manning was recovering from surgery and playing injured most of the year. The Pats lost the division and Manning didn't win his. And the Steelers, the third wheel powerhouse team then, took advantage.

This just might be the year Josh and Patrick are wild cards. And guess who is going to probably pick up the tab? The one person who could only win in a scenario like this.

Lamar.

I would also wager to say both you and KC are wild card exits, KC's first with Mahomes and Josh's since his sophomore year. The Ravens will sit at the fourth seed hosting the Bills in the wild card round and then proceeding to go on the road against the Broncos and Colts, who do not have the pedigree to win the AFC. Vrabel is one of the few coaches who have punched Mahomes in the mouth so that exit is very possible(they could win in KC even).

I hate this for you, so I hope you win the division. KC has a harder road and I think the double whammy occurs if they lose their division based on the narrative.

But this was the year. You're not gonna get KC this low again and I'm pretty sure with the cupcake schedule next year(NFC South and AFC South) Joe Burrow will take back his division and Lamar is due for a breather.

This is so melodramatic. The Bills might win the Superbowl or get knocked out in the wild card, either way life will go on. Just enjoy the ride homie.

They’re literally one game out of 1st place in the east and 1 game out of being 1st overall-what exactly are you talking about?

I’ll avoid the bills angle since there could be bias there and this feels like bait 😂but if the chiefs are in the playoffs there’s absolutely no shot they’re losing to the ravens lol. Chiefs over ravens is the easiest money bet in all of sports

I sincerely doubt the chiefs will lose to a division opponent in the playoffs either with it being the third time they saw them on the season.  If the bills get knocked out and the chiefs are in they’re gonna make the Super Bowl fairly easily and get stomped again imo

I really don’t see any quick fixes for the chiefs either for future years…Chris jones has been goin through it this year emotionally but even if he does turn it around I don’t think he has many dominant years left.  Travis Kelce probably is on the downswing too. They still don’t have the OT situation nailed down despite lots of resources being invested there.  That’s a lot of talent to replace when they’ll be picking in the bottom half of rounds

“But this was the year. You're not gonna get KC this low again”

We were told by every KC fan and media pundit that last year was as low as KC would ever be.

Now this year is as low as KC will ever be.

Maybe Pat just isn’t that good anymore and can only get up for Josh Allen in the playoffs when half his (already bad) Defense is injured..

Kc has major issues…they’ll always be in the mix for sure but it’s really no mystery why this is happening to them.  Their defense was pretty much gettin carried by one guy and he’s slowing down for whatever reason…they’ve sunk a bunch of picks and free agent acquisitions into the OT position and still haven’t gotten it right.  Now they’ve got a broncos team in their division that can really take advantage of that

The one person who could only win in a scenario like this. Lamar.

Is this also supposed to be the year where Lamar finally plays above a replacement level in the playoffs?

Denver could definitely handle the Ravens this year. The Colts on a decent day would probably beat the Ravens by 20. They really stink.

Dude, you're a Saints fan. When your team is closer to the #1 overall pick than the playoffs....maybe sit this one out

Are you possibly related to a certain Packer fan?
