Why are we so afraid of Baltimore?  They're an aging team that the Bills have always handled when it counted.  Denver took the Bills late into the game in the playoffs last year.

Just a bad matchup. The Ravens are a big physical team that gives the Bills problems. Even though the Bills have won the last two games against them it seemed like the Ravens had the better of the play controlling the LOS for a majority of the game. The Bills pulled a miracle out to win the season opener. They had no business winning that game but to their credit they did come back and win.

Meh.  If we get them at home in the playoffs, we'll win that game.

I would prefer not to meet them in the first game. I’d almost be willing to tank the Week 18 game to drop to the 6th seed and end up against Indy or NE in round 1

Bananas take.

It just looks like the Joe Flacco trade is huge for the entire AFC conference. Cleveland should have won yesterday.

We just got to roll with the punches and get into the playoffs, whether we are the 1 or the 7. We are in a much better position than some of our biggest foes.

At some point in the McBeane/JA era the Bills will have to get a playoff road victory, possibly multiple road victories, whenver that is, the location and opponent doesn't matter, just get the W and advance.

I agree this is plausible.  But it is still too early.  And if you want to win the Super Bowl you have to do hard things.   If they lose the division to the pats you can thank losses to them Miami and Falcons that were all winnable.  If Buffalo plays the way they typically do down the stretch they can still win this division but they can’t lose more than one game and not to the pats.

The bills have very quietly won 4 of the last 5 against Baltimore lol kc has won 7 of the last 8 against them (should’ve won all 8)..  as stacked as they are on paper something is going very wrong for them in those big afc games very consistently and for some reason these head to head stats never seem to be brought up by anybody it’s pretty bizarre.

it is for sure a scary matchup on paper though I was just talkin about that somewhere on here 😁

I don’t think you hated to say it.

What makes you think that? Honest question.

I posted this because I am a math guy and I love to play with playoff machines. I also don't find it stupid to discuss possible scenarios (as some others here find it, which is perfectly fine).

As for hating that, I really do hate that. I am not a doom and gloom guy, and I think we can win SB every year, but I do think going against Ravens on the road is probably the worst of possible scenario. Why wouldn't I hate that?

Yea if Baltimore is as scary as people say I don’t think anyone is beating them for us so who cares when you see them..  you’ve gotta go through them whether it’s first round or third

I'd much rather play Baltimore than Denver.

Denver looks like a complete beast.

Agreed, I think most people here are thinking Denver is some kind of middling team.  One could make a solid argument that they're the best team in the AFCE right now, and getting better.  I still think the Bills can beat them when the cards are down but I'd rather put that off to the AFCC

Defensively, yes. But Bo Nix is the least consistent qb amongst the current playoff teams and it’s not close. He’s insanely erratic.

Sure but I’d rather go Indy in Round 1 or NE than face Baltimore who is a terrible matchup for us. Our playoff success against them has been as a home team. In this scenario we would be on the road. To be fair, the Bills still stand a good chance of winning the division so this might not matter.

Sure Denver defensively looks awesome but do people forget we put a 40 burger on this same great defense last year. Maybe we don’t do that this year but if still expect 27 or so which should, should with emphasis, beat a Bo Nix Broncos led team

Everybody watched them beat the Chiefs yesterday because the Bills weren't on at the same time, and it was the national game. But a lot of people here boycott Thursday Night Football, so they missed the Broncos' EPIC 10-7 win over the Raiders the week before, when Nix went 16-28, 150, 1TD, 2INTs. Against the Raiders. At home. The fact is that there are no teams without critical weaknesses that deserve being labeled a "beast" this year.
