Because Keon is Josh’s guy

No he isn't.  Everyone keeps posting about how "Allen pushed for Coleman" when there isn't the slightest proof that happened.  And in fact it goes against how low key Allen appears to be in these things.

And please don't link to the article saying how Allen sent Coleman a text saying "welcome to the Bills" and he was looking forward to "working with him".  That's what every QB would do.  And it's no big deal that the text went out before the Friday draft started as the Bills had the first pick that day.

You don't have to be Ian Rappaport to figure out what probably happened.  Bean told Allen in the days leading up to the draft that the Bills were going to take a WR with their #1 pick.  I'm sure Allen got excited and Bean then probably told Allen what the parameters were going to be and who was likely going to be available at that point and he asked Allen for his opinion.

Obviously an athletic, big bodied WR was the Bills greatest need and would appeal to Allen.  And given that the Bills had Shakir guys like MaConkey would be less appealing.   But Allen didn't vet these receivers the Bills scouting staff did.  Allen likely got sheets with the pros & cons of the guys who the Bills were thinking of selecting late in the 1st round.

Do you or anyone else believe for one minute that Bean went to Allen and said "hey Josh we want to draft a WR in the 1st round and we're vacillating between moving up in the draft and taking one of the studs or staying put and taking one of the guys late in the 1st" and Allen then pushed back and said "Brandon I love this guy Coleman, lets just stay put and pick him".

If you haven't figured this out by now Allen is the consummate Company man.  He will support whatever senior management wants to do.

Wow, just wow. It's one thing to just not be good enough,  but this? I recall watching him after he was drafted and he came across VERY young, likely immature. But that was understandable at his age. I didn't think he wouldn't grow up and become a responsible adult.

I understand everything you're saying but ultimate company man's don't win Super bowls

If Josh Allen is the greatest ever like we fought he needs to be able to hold people accountable

These are not high school players these are professional athletes in a league that is a privilege not a right

He has earned the right to hold people accountable.. Peyton Manning and Tom Brady would lay into future Hall of famers they had no problem

Josh needs to learn it's okay to do that if the circumstances validate

What a disaster of a pick.

Keon “Macy” Coleman

“I try to be THE guy and I choke
Try to get open quickly and stumble
Though McD tries to hide it, it's clear
I’m not as close in talent as my peers…”

Tom Brady had no problem chewing out players on the sidelines

He literally would be screaming in players faces trying to hold them accountable .. so would Peyton Manning

go watch the deep shot to Coleman a couple plays after we picked up the third and 17

i think Allen threw him that ball to spite him...watch his release. zero effort

i dunno i think something is really wrong here

I still kinda wonder if he actually underthrew Knox on that play lol. Anyone see that play floating around on the All 22 clips yet? Seemed like a weird play either way with the two of them essentially running routes to the same spot.

Once Palmer and/or Davis are healthy, Coleman will be inactive weekly

This.

Coleman is done on this team. I think the coaches are there. Davis?  Hardman?  Looking for Coleman’s replacement.

This will be his last year here. I'm not even being that critical of his effort. It's just when you combine everything, the effort, the lack of a connection with Allen, the struggles in this offense, it just makes sense for everyone to get a fresh start. We'll trade him for a sixth round pick or something in the off-season.

Coleman will probably want it, and so will the bills.

A young WR being handed the opportunity to be Josh Allen's WR1, and you think he probably wants to leave? I don't doubt for a second that we'll be looking to move on, but I highly doubt there's any part of him that thinks he's doing anything other than squandering this opportunity.

Why is he still on the field then?

Not just on the field...he has the second most targets on this team!!!!!  What an absolute mess and they don't seem to have a clue.

Keon's not good at least right now...but they did him no favors expecting him to come in and produce as the X.  They made it worse not having a backup plan and/or putting competing players on the roster in case Coleman didn't work out in season 2.

The 2024 and 2025 off-seasons keep looking worse by the week.  And from the looks of it, people at OBD are starting to point fingers at each other.

Why do people keep saying this?

Allen wanted a WR. He didnt bang on the table for Keon.

Considering Tom Brady won a Super bowl a couple years ago and he's considered the best ever

You could say it's not effective but it all depends where it's coming from.. if you're screaming at a dude because he dropped the pass that's not effective

If you're screaming at a guy because his effort level is not acceptable for your team standard that is 100% in reason for any team captain

That's not disputable in my book.. if it's an effort thing as a team captain you are allowed to lay into a player

Not Pat them on the back and say it's okay

Maybe most of these quarterbacks today are not as good as Tom Brady and Peyton Manning as I always have said

Patrick mahomes is not close to either of those two
