The Bills will have to be a wild card, at least in my mind. I think that going 1-1 in the next two games will be great. I do not give them much of a chance against the Texans so the game Sunday is massive. Lose both and the playoffs are a dream. Win both, then we can breath a sigh of relief.

That Houston game is going to be ROUGH. Road team with a struggling offense going against a great defense on a Thursday. Plus Houston just seems to have our number historically. Any victory, no matter how ugly, would be acceptable to me

Yep. The shout podcast on Monday with Matt Perrino and Chris Trapesso was excellent as it brought up a bit what you're saying.

Basically really went in depth in how some games Daboll would attack and throw it like 20-25 times in a row depending on the weakness of the opponent.

Where Joe Brady for the most part is, "this is our offence and this is what we are going to run", instead of attacking the weaknesses of the defence

really thats been the Bills philosophy from season to play offs every year.   it worked in the season, it will work in the playoffs.   defense and offenese

I miss the time when Bills were attacking on the 1st and 2nd downs to get the first down.

Also even at 3rd and 15 you felt they had a good chance of converting.

Remember the games when punting rarely happened. 3rd and 15 was no big deal.

OK. And Keon Coleman had 8 catches for over 100 yards in the first game of the season.

No offense but it takes more than 2 catches or a good game. Outside of Shakir, these wide receivers have shown nothing.

He got hurt so we'll never know will we.  But 2 catches for 60 yards on 2 targets in the 1st quarter before he was hurt suggested Palmer was on his way to having a big game.

The fact that Joshua Palmer is a full participant this week and pretty clearly is going to play tells me he probably could have played on Sunday against the Phins.

Gross.

Lack of urgency throughout the organization. Too methodical and deliberate in every way. Too conservative. Too predictable. Too patient/passive.

Since Joe Brady has been here. Not Daboll.

Daboll always had wrinkles and would attack weaknesses in the defence

These next 3 games, and really the next 2, will tell us everything about this team.

I feel worse about them than I have in quite a while, but I'm reminded about the advanced stats and handicappers, which tell is we should cruise to wins, and how we have this swoon, then one very billsy or even gawd awful performance, and the end the season ripping off a series of wins.

My gut tells me winning the division is a mug's bet, but advanced analysis says it's a very likely outcome

Honestly how is there 16 pages. What is there even to talk about? We have no idea what the game will look like, unpredictable what this team does week to week.

pre game planning by coaches set the tone last week and the players responded accordingly.

Hopefully they can get palmer and coleman going this week together, those two are the key for this seasons success in the passing game.

Buffalo will blow out the Bucs

This is a game where Buffalo has to reassert their dominant run game.

If they ran the ball last weekend like they did against Carolina or Kansas City, they would’ve easily beaten Miami…even with a poor defense.

The guys should have a lot more fire than they did last Sunday, and to me the most important thing to fix before they go down to Houston is they need the run game back.

It’d be nice to see.

I am skeptical. The issues we had running the ball against Miami were:

1) execution - too many missed blocks, physically beaten or mental errors across mostly the left side of the line and the tight ends.

2) defensive alignment - the 5 man defensive front Miami played our heavy personnel with allow their LBs to play relatively clean and downhill. That created a lot of issues at the second level. The traditional 3-4 look that Tampa will play with will be similar.

3) No differentiation in the run game - we really run the same 4-5 running plays over and over with minor variations. It’s mid zone, outside zone, power/counter and duo. Now to be fair they run these about a million different ways but the bones are all the same.

Brady has to counter this. How? That’s his job to know. But I will speculate for fun: I’d like to see more heavy personnel usage from the gun. I think that gives them the ability to run AND pass which will put more pressure on the Lbs. How about the return return of the quick hitting TE pop pass, introducing new quick hitting misdirection in the run game (trap, wham) and rolling Allen out flooding a side of the field getting him on the edge in a dual threat position.

Should be a fun one!

Are you saying that only alcoholics would be Bills or Sabres fans or that being a Bills or Sabres fan will make you an alcoholic? Truthfully, either way you’re not wrong

I resemble this remark!

I'm almost rooting for the wheels to fall off to get us closer to regime change, than another season of this.

The last time we made a clear improvement from one season to the next was the 2020 season.

This line of thinking is just asinine!

To be clear, I don’t think regime change is a bad idea but you do realize who the owner is.
He will literally die before removing McBeane so it would make more sense for the fans on this train to go root for another team.  Or just wait 10 more years (your choice of course).

McBeane are lifers in this organization.
How do people not know/see this is beyond me!! Arggghhh
