Oliver is fine.  Groot is a mild overpay.  Benford is a mild overpay after the way he looks this season.

 

But Bernard, Bass, Knox, Samuel and a few others are definite overpays.

I think part of the reason overpays for his own picks is that it validates the pick, at least in his own mind.

We played Tre White who was our #2 CB at the start of the year and Max Hairston who was our 1st round pick. 

 

The Dolphins were the team playing Walmart greeters and UPS delivery guys at CB and our WRs still had issues getting open.

Bernard is getting abused out there and Milano is shot. Can't really get away from that Bernand contract until 2027.  LB is a major need next year that you can add to the list.

Beane and McDermott said from day 1 that they wanted to build through the draft and retain their talent. 

 

Which is great in theory, but they've over-committed to that philosophy and bet big on guys that have turned out to be pretty average at best.

This is nice, to have it all concentrated in one place after a loss. I suspect it will leak out, as it always does, but it can be kind of a hub.
