Buddy Nix didn't sleep this much.  Oh well, there is always next year.

Feel like I’ve heard that before a time……or six🤔

I don’t think that gets it done. They got a 1&2 from Dallas (I think). We would have paid the “division tax.” It would have been 2 firsts and that STILL may not have happened.

They would have taxed the crap out of us

Generally when you trade an All pro or a pro bowler you're trying to get them out of conference

oh? Is that why Shaheed had the fastest mph on a TD this season?  22.9 or whatever it was

He’s going to shred teams deep along with JSN. Awesome move for Seahawks fans

More than one kind of speed isn't there 😋

I thought he would be a a good deal and fit a need. Perhaps dump Codrington (sorry dude)

And I hoped for another Big DT , but not a big spend.

if Olave or more so  Brian Thomas could have been had for picks ?

I guess we are moving on.

go bills

Curtis Samuel runs a 4.31, Elijah Moore runs a 4.35. I've read that Shaheed runs a 4.45.

I'm not convinced that Buffalo OC Joe Brady would even utilize a new speedy outside WR. He has some some and doesn't use them.

Curtis samuel ran a 4.31 at the combine. After all the leg ailments, getting older, and the punishment that comes with being in the league for 7 years, I suspect his 40 time is a good bit slower these days.

Lmao! Beane shopping at Goodwill again.  What makes it worse is he's shopping for items  he's donated already!

You seem more perturbed than usual jay 😇

Shaheed would have cost the Bills like a 3rd and 6th probably (or something like that). The 4th and 5th wouldn’t have been quite enough. That’s a move that I probably would have made as well but it isn’t a no brainer.

The cost of doing business at the deadline has increased in general.

Teams like the Bills........who need other teams to eat a lot of dead money......are why.

There are more high value players that are positioned with low cap numbers so as to be tradable to virtually anyone at the deadline than ever.  More potential buyers drives up the price.

Beane has made his bed with more than his share of very careless spending from 2018 to 2022 or so........like throwing $6M per year at backup level players like Josh Norman and AJ Klein years ago.  The list of inexplicable contracts he's doled out is far too long and it's mostly just habitually paying league minimum guys $3M-$6M than it is the big deals.   It would be nice to have that $5M he paid Corey Coleman for the 10 day tryout in camp.   He was so, so careless early in his tenure.   We are very fortunate that Pegula has agreed to keep spending.   Most franchises will not.

Beane is satisfied with making the playoffs with the best QB/RB tandem and not using draft capital to fill gaping holes in the roster. That’s the deal,Buffalo fans just go along with him not bringing in a #1 or #2 receiver, not bringing a better safety now that Rapp is gone and no D-tackle with Jones, Oliver and Jones out long term. He’s always in cap hell and he freezes at the prospect of making a deal involving draft choices. His drafts suck( Coleman, Sanders and Turner)  all have done nothing and he keeps players, sucking up cap space longer than necessary ( Miller,Milano, Jones. Epenesa)  He survives on the coattails of Josh, Cook and some O -lineman. Oh well

Always in cap hell, it’s like never ending

Samuel runs a 4.31 forty, faster than his rumored to be 4.35 - 4.45 40 time.  Elijah 4.35 forty time.  Shakir 4.43 forty time.

You forgot Shavers, who is probably faster than anybody in the WR room except Moore.

But it's probably irrelevant because of what you said about the Bills O design and also because of how teams defend Allen.

You know what?  You’re really just full of crap.  This blanket statement about the fan base supports ineptitude is absolute BS.  Just quit rooting for them and get out then.

I’ve been a Bills fan since 65. I go to games in Jersey and Philadelphia because I live down here. My kids and grandkids are Bills fans with plenty of memorabilia and gear. What are you the arbiter of who should be a fan. I just know when fans are being taken for granted and I have the testicles to say so.

Ed Oliver, a 2nd and a 4th for Quinnen Williams

Come on Simon - you have to know there is no way the Jets consider this offer right?  I would be all for that trade as a Bills fan of course - but think about it bud, why would the Jets looking to add draft capital and shed contracts to do a full rebuild take back a big contract instead of a 1st round pick (they got a 1st and 2nd from Cowboys)?  Especially for a player like Oliver, who has been inconsistent, hurt too much, and has several years left on his big contract.

Jets want that first rounder, not a DT out for the season owed a lot of money for several more years.

Honestly, I’m glad. Beane got extended and has job security. He could’ve panicked and he didn’t. These guys believe in the people in the building, and as fans we should too. There’s way too much negative Nancy vibes when it comes to our existing talent base.

This also confirms positive prognosis on some of our Dline imo. TJ and Daquan will be heard from again.

I like these moves for all parties involved, except Dallas who gave up too much for Williams, in my opinion.

AD Mitchell gets a change of scenery and a massive leap up the depth chart.

Can Shavers actually get open though ?

I thought I saw him on the field against the Panthers. Imagination perhaps

Profoundly disappointed. I truly think the hubris of this regime is going to doom this team to the fate of the ringless San Diego Chargers and for Josh Allen to be nothing more than another Phillip Rivers. I hope Im wrong.

I think most logical people see it that way

100%

I would have probably paid the price for Shaheed. With that being said, 31 NFL teams had the opportunity to pay that price and would have acquired him for that. Not one of them offered more than Seattle. I feel like we were desperate enough to do it but that tells you what the league thought of the value.

Typical LeBron fan response caring more about how a player is perceived than what’s best for the team.

I understand what you are saying here but not all 31 teams are in the same place or have the same needs

Buffalo is in their Super Bowl window, for some reason it appears Brandon and his front office think Josh will always be this version of Josh so they can “take their time”

the clock has been ticking and the assumptions the staff makes are just mind blowing. The way Josh plays the game, you cannot expect he is gonna be this level into his mid 30’s. You need to start capitalizing now, not 5 years from now. Now, even if that means an overpayment or mortgage some of the future. I’m shocked Brandon can’t figure that out by now

Is Shavers fast because he doesn’t really look it while running routes. Yeah he had one long TD last year but I don’t see the speed your talking about come gametime

What’s best for the team, was to do nothing? Interesting opinion smh
