Then the deal was well worth it. IMO there is too much focus on future picks from this regime and fan base. The goal is to win a Super Bowl. It feels like Beane and many in this fan base have a different philosophy. Yes they want to win a Super Bowl. For them and many it's more important to be a consistent playoff team. Maybe one of these years luck goes their way and they win a Super Bowl. They aren't willing to mortgage the future for that. I would trade a Super Bowl win this season, if it means a return to the drought years going forward. As to the bold, there are no guarantees. You can go all in to get your Super Bowl, come up short with no ring, then return to the drought era as well. Are you OK with that? 1 1 Quote

Sure they win the AFCE each year and make the playoffs. Outside of the 13 second season they haven't been close to a Super Bowl. Quote

Colts are all in on a SB run, but we just caught a glimpse of the old Daniel Jones versus TJ Watt and the Steelers. 3 picks and a miserable 13 QBR. I think they will eventually run into a buzz saw when they face a healthy Ravens or Bills. I don’t think they are the cream of the crop of the AFC despite their record. As far as the Jets and the AFCE as a whole…wow! Both NY & MIA are going to be primed to grab their future QBs as both will be picking very high. The colts remind me of the Vikings a couple of years ago. They got off to a great start and fell apart in the end of the season. 1 Quote

Would you like to be a Bengals fan right now? Are they still basking in the warmth of that lightning-in-a-bottle SB appearance a few years ago? (They lost, remember?) I have a buddy with season tix to the Bengals and he’s having a hard time unloading his seats. That’s not my personal preference, but to each their own. 1 Quote
Call_Of_Ktulu Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I have Sauce rated as my number 2 CB, he might be the best cover CB as far as being in the WR’s back pocket. Every time I watch him he has such good coverage that the teams don’t even pass towards him. His target rate has to be very low and his time in tight coverage probably leads the NFL. I think the Colts actually got the better end of this trade for a CB that covers like Sauce does. Quote

It gets talked about like we were on the doorsteps of the superbowl and it always puzzles me a bit. We woulda had to beat the Joe burrow bengals who I don’t think we’ve ever beaten with Dane Jackson and Levi Wallace starting at cb if we won that chiefs game. Last year we were much closer to the superbowl than 13 seconds year imo Edited 21 hours ago by Generic_Bills_Fan 1 Quote

Maybe if Tre played but not with those corners imo…I think they woulda been 50/50 to win that bengals game at best And even if that was the best bills team, the chiefs were a bit better than they are now (offense way better and defense worse) and the bengals were much much better than they are now Quote

It would have been in Buffalo, the weather would have been bad, and the Bengals o-line that years was TERRIBLE. They had fluky victories over both TN and the Chiefs, and Mahomes had the yips in that game. Worst game he ever played despite building a huge lead early. Also, the Bills' offense was freaking unstoppable at that point. I think they would have handled the Rams easily too, as they did their very next game in the 2022 season opener. 1 Quote

It’s definitely possible…I’d be more optimistic about it if we ever really showed anything against the bengals granted there’s been limited attempts. Chiefs definitely should’ve blown the bengals out for sure can’t argue that. Even with the mahomes second half meltdown they probably still should’ve won…can’t believe they mismanaged the end of that drive before halftime so badly 1 Quote
BRH Posted 21 hours ago Posted 21 hours ago Anyone else think the Colts went out and got Sauce expecting that we would land a WR1 yesterday? Quote

I think Lou anarumo needs a lockdown man corner and they knew they didn’t really have that going into the season but it wasn’t a big deal because they didn’t expect to have a shot to be super competitive. Their defense has some great players but cb was a pretty big weakness 1 Quote

Not only will their own pick get them the QB that they want, but those are two more huge puzzle pieces they can use to build around him. Fortunately it's the Jets, so there's real hope they'll completely foul the whole thing up. I could not possinbly agree more. Sauce is good, but he grabs and holds and is not at all worth two first round picks. Not even remotely close. They are in obvious need of a quarterback, and there seems to be lots of them comong out. Alabama won five straight SEC games and each team they defeated had a very good QB imo. The kid fron Texas A&M is said to be special. I saw the kid from Ole Miss and he looks really good. Even Arch Manning can play, and Ty Simpson is the real deal imo. The kid in Oklahoma looks like a future star. This is just the SEC!!! I don't know when all of of these kids are draft eligible, but it would seem as if the Jets will have two first and two seconds in 2026, and 3 firsts in 2027. As you said, they will get a very good qb, unless they screw up big time (which is never out of the question for the jests). In any event, these trades were probably the most intelligent moves that the jests have made in the last 50 or more years. Edited 3 hours ago by Bill from NYC 1 Quote

No they got him to cover Nico Collins in their division. Plus btj whenever he rebounds. they have had a great year but have not wont heir division by any means. They have two games with Houston left and a game with Jax left. there is a very long way to go. We are finally to football season and the better teams will start showing themselves definitively 1 Quote

Nah, they just went and got Sauce because he was an upgrade at CB that they needed on a roster competing for the 1 seed. Edited 13 hours ago by Alphadawg7 1 Quote
