I honestly think it won't matter. Detroit doesn't have a comparable Oline complimented by great TE and FB blocking. Not to take away from the Chiefs, but there is only so much they can do when the entirety of the OLine is blocking so well and the RB is this good.

As some have said in here, I think I'd prefer to keep this game vanilla and see what happens. It just seems like when we see the Chiefs in the playoffs, our gameplan is to replicate what we did in the regular season, and Spag/Reid have it squashed.

Try something different, and make it drastic, and it could take their coaching out of the playoff game enough to squeeze by them. 

I think people read a little too much into that personally. Every game vs the chiefs comes down to 1-2 super high impact plays and in the regular season we’ve been making those plays and playoffs we haven’t.  Both teams will do things a little differently in the playoffs regardless of whether they win or lose this game 

 

last year we couldn’t run the ball with rbs at all in the regular season and come playoff time we were running pretty much at will for a lot of the game.  Never really saw anyone run on the chiefs defense like that.  Regular season they were down a corner and we just picked on the replacement too can’t remember exactly who it was.  Then in the playoff game we were down the corner and they picked on our replacement lol 

 

the running game between the two games was like night and day different it’s actually pretty interesting…regular season the non josh runners had 19 carries for 49 yds 2.6ypc.  Playoff game they had 21 carries for 108 yds 5.1 ypc.

There’s this weird idea that if a team has a good game running the football that the defense just wasn’t trying to stop it.  Bills ran the ball much better in the playoff game compared to the regular season last year bad receivers and all lol I sincerely doubt the playoff chiefs defense just didn’t care about stopping the run for a lot of that one 

 

the running game feels so underappreciated I’m always surprised by it 😂 teams make adjustments to their rushing offense week to week but it feels like most fans treat it as they just do the same thing over and over again and the defense just lets them

Good.  That's what the home uni should be every week.

 

I see the Bills are underdogs.  I'm going to have to put a few bucks on them as home dogs, something rare in recent years in the Allen/McD era.

If I were the Chiefs I would play man coverage and put 8 in the box on defense. Make the Bills receivers beat you.

Give me Thompson at the Mike with Bernard at the Will.  Milano in sub packages.  
 

Fun game.  Big game. Both teams need it.  Cook has hurt the Chiefs a lot in recent memory.  A few more shotgun sets for him this week.  Get him on a LB in space.  I think the Bills match up very well against the Chiefs on both sides of the ball.

You have a point. Everyone is focusing on MVP Josh but the Bills run game has been carrying this team for some time now. Even last year. It's almost like no one has even noticed.

I want to see keeping same LBs, Dorian and Shaq Thompson.  These two together brought best results so don't break the momentum.  I don't trust Bernard he makes splash plays here and there but he gets pushed around and cannot stop the run.

Of course I don’t know for sure if it was more on the safeties being bad or if Bernard and Milano were equally as bad.

I think it's safe to say that Thompson is a starter at this point even with Milano and Bernard fully healthy. One of them will sit and come for 3 LB sets (like Buffalo Joe last week). Or maybe they'll us Williams this way. 

 

Thompson is limited though, so that might change things.
