Rapp with a random knee injury during the bye week, that he's had since TC? Sounds fishy. Hopefully it's Sean's way of respectfully benching a vet.

I'd say hopefully it's true and that the guy didn't just suddenly fall off a cliff for no reason.

if the Bills lose this than they deserve to lose it. allen alone is the reason we win many games and he can't win them all. games in october show up in january and in order to get to the playoffs with momentum it will take winning out or only dropping 1.

It's best we get some of these realistic comments out of the way before Sunday. If we win on Sunday and still have any reservation any criticism we have will be met with "winning record" or Debbie Downer". Just the suggestion that we weren't a very deep team before this losing streak and you'd be a hater and pointed to other teams to cheer for. I see it the way you just said it. Allen is the reason we've won many games. He doesn't play defense or special teams, but he has lifted up some poor to average offense. Were these offenses great?  Yep because of the Qb. From 2018 to now we have not fielded a contender if Allen wasn't the Qb.

Doesn’t sound like you respect opposing opinions much.

Not true. Bills started running some good ones late last year starting with the Rams game where Ty caught one and rumbled untouched for a 46 yard TD. After that game they had several other ones that worked well too.

This year, not so much

Those plays worked last year but were more of a quick throw behind the line to a wr. I’m talking about teams blitzing and we dump off a true screen pass to a running back to counter defensive pressures and blitzes. We even used to successfully run a tight end screen. Kelly would roll right and throw back left to Metzlars. Drove defenses crazy.

We really need normal service restored for the Bills. The last 2 weeks the team has embarrassed themselves on both sides of the ball. A loss here would be devastating for our chances at the 1 seed but an unimpressive ugly win would be also distressing, especially after having 2 weeks off to prepare. They absolutely need a solid win with no bad penalties.

Opposite in fact. I love talking ball. The problem is online people rush to judgement and respond with snark and insincerity. Read again and you'll see what I'm saying is when the Bills win, and you still have critique, you are essentially shown the door.
You'll Never find me telling someone to cheer for another team because of what they think about the team.

They haven't been able to run a screen for years.  They've tried; and it's mostly because of the QB's style of play.

They have the best doctors and they're still researching Strongs neck?  They still don't know if Palmer will be IR after 2 weeks?

If either actually hit IR count me as surprised because their situation will feel mismanaged. In my opinion it’s just McD being cagey as usual. A reporter asks “is IR a possibility?” McD responds with his token “we’ll see.” They act like they don’t have any of the information when in fact they have all of it. Diagnoses don’t take literal weeks.

The penalties are annoying the hell out of me.  Last season the Bills were so successful in large part to 3 things.  They took the ball away, they did not give the ball away, and they did not get overly penalized for dumb stuff and pre-snap idiocy.  This season all the fundamentals are gone.

Plus I could come up with a better play calling sheet and schemes than our professional coaches by using ChatGPT.

I understand this is yet another  "McBeane cant build a roster" post, but stating that having an MVP quarterback wins you a lot of games and makes you a contender isnt really much of a point.

Also, prior to this year we have a fantastic average margin of victory and have had many, many blowouts. You dont do that without a competent team.

Amazing how two games ago we were planning parade routes and now we’re simply  hoping for a strong showing against the Panthers who have a record above .500 for the first time since October 2021.

Like the Falcons, I’m sure Carolina will give us their best effort in weeks and then the following week lose decisively just to rub it in.

Carolina is a good team coming off a 3 game W streak and 4 out of their last 5. It’s not that they’re above .500, people are worried because they are one of the hottest teams in the NFL. If Bryce Young was playing I would be 10 times more nervous.

No, I am talking about RB screens. There is no way this is a WR screen.

I think it's actually a good time to play Carolina.  NFL teams who are in the "average" category often regress back to where they belong after a nice win or two.  Having won three in a row, the Panthers are definitely due for a correction.  Likewise the Bills, but in the other direction.

Reports coming out of Carolina today say that Young is not in a walking boot and is suited up for practice.  Looks like he will try to practice and if able, may play this weekend.

So some interesting tid bits from that presser -

Rapp is being benched, probably for Poyer but maybe they start giving Hancock some run.

Strong is done for the season if not his career. They know exactly what is going on but aren’t saying. My guess is after he tweaked his neck they did an MRI and it scared the sht out of them. Probably a multi-level disc issue and the only question is what’s the risk to his health if he continues to play whether or not surgery is currently indicated.

Hairston is going to get some run sooner rather than later. Sean knows what’s up with Tre.

Ogunjobi and Hoecht are 100% playing this Sunday, the subterfuge is laughable.

I’d like to see a lot less Keon Coleman and a lot more passing out of heavier sets. Listening to a few pods this past week and I can’t believe how much they are forcing it to Coleman. It’s not friggin Stephon Diggs out there, it’s a disappointing 2nd round player that they are playing out of position and they keep trying to make it happen. In no universe should he have 50 more targets than the next targeted receiver on this team. Brady needs to wake the F up.

The penalties need to stop. That’s a McD issue. Killing us pre-snap and on defense.

Wasn't that diagnosed as a high ankle sprain?

He can play, but that would definitely limit his mobility.

That doesn't sound good for Strong...sounds like his football career might be hanging in the balance.
