How about a trade with the Cowboys for wide receiver George Pickens ?

I think if Dallas loses again before the trade deadline Jerry may just decide to blow it up a little with all the draft picks he is sitting on.

Dallas traded a 2026 3rd round and a 2027 5th round pick for Pickens.

The Bills could offer a 2026 2nd rounder and a player?

Pickens could excel on the Bills.

If the Bills end up meeting the Steelers in the playoffs I am sure George would be motivated like Diggs was against the Bills two weeks ago.

It is not the sexy trade, but it would definitely help the Bills without setting the team far back and it helps Dallas if they are going into rebuild mode.

Nah we just need to come up with better run schemes. We drafted a dude because he's big and a great blocker in Coleman. We drafted a TE so we could run 13 which benifits the run (yes and passing to a degree) in mind when we drafted Kincaid.  This team is making Josh a game manager in the name of "complimentary" football. They don't just want to be ABLE to run the ball, they WANT to run the ball as their identity. Bleed the clock so the defense can gasp for air a bit longer before they go back out there and bend for 65 yards and 7 mins. We're not getting a WR and if we do it'll be "who???"

any trade idea that nets a legit WR1 can't be discounted at this time.  A 2nd and one of our JAG receivers for Pickens would be amazing.  Not sure if Dallas would go for it, they seem to never be in "blow it up" mode even when they should be.

There have been talks to extend pickens and they might get lamb back this week.  There defense is worse than buffalo's.

If beane gives up a 3 and a 5 for a mentally unstable dude he should be fired on the spot.  You would have to give dallas like a 2 to even get their attention.

There is almost ZERO chance Terry, Beene, McD or Josh will allow a trade for Pickens.  His history and personality eliminates him completely in this “culture” they all seem to desire over anything else.

Sure...doesn't matter that the Cowboys have ZERO interest in trading a player who is playing great that they just traded for this offseason themselves. Apparently now we live in a Madden simulation where you can just go take control of the Cowboys team and force them to trade Pickens to us.

Exactly this.

 

We are also not "1 player" away from a championship roster.  Unfortunately.

 

Beane, front office, coaches, some combo - whoever people want to blame is being discussed in other threads.

 

But pointed at these trade threads --- we shouldn't waste any high draft picks at this point of season --- you do that before the year.  Beane "trusted" some of these 2nd year, 3rd year guys to make a BIG jump and the rookies/FA signings to fill out the team.  So far, that 3rd category is "TBD" (injuries/suspensions), but the likes of Keon and Bishop have been disappointments and Kincaid needs to stay healthy.

 

It is what it is, now the coaches have the bye week to figure out some adjustments.

We should have traded for him in the first place instead of this everyone eats with no #1 WR crap of a plan.  The personnel moves made by Beane this offseason (which 90% of this message board pointed out at some point) are beyond dumb.  Crap safeties, crap corners, no #1 WR, no LB depth should get Beane canned.

Alex Smith and Jimmy Garoppolo got traded twice in a season.

Never said force Dallas  to trade with us....Said if Dallas loses again will they be sellers? Is all. Crazier trades have happened.

Speaking of former Steeler headcase WRs, Dionte Johnson is out there as a FA. He would cost nothing. Just a couple of years ago, he was one of the best young WR in the league.

Anyone that's capable of "eating more" than who we already have.  Someone with the ability to allow others to eat more as well would be a bonus.

He's always been crazy... Even in College... He most definitely flies close to the sun regularly... There's no question... He's also an elite talent... If he did not have all the other issues he would have been a top 10 pick and he would never be available... So... You have to weigh it all... But no doubt the Bills would never touch Pickens...

I think they'd run a 5TE offense if they thought they could get away with it.  The priority skill among the boundary WRs seems to be blocking ability.
