My thing is they are blitzing hard, you have a game breaker at RB, why not line him up in the slot and just let him work against LBs on some quick slants or wheel routes?

Why do the Bills not run common sense routes against blitzes like slants?

Also, why not Coleman?  He is a big body that is able to shield the defender and has shown the ability to turn those into big plays before.  Like why are the only 2 routes Coleman runs most of the time a back shoulder comeback or an intermediate out route?  It seems they have the ability to mix things up far more than they are.

It's insane that Cook isn't on the field in the critical moments. If I remember correctly, he wasn't on the field during the last drive in the AFCCG last year vs KC. Fans say he isn't a good blocker but who cares about that. When the game is on the line Cook isn't out there to block. He is the one player on offense who can take it to the house from anywhere on the field. They should want Cook with the ball in open space so he can go make a big play. He is not out there to block especially when its crunch time.

Cook not being the focal point the whole second half was just malpractice.

he should have had his tongue hanging out of his mouth begging to come off the field and they still should have said no stay out there.

That first down pass that ended up in a ten yard loss was just terrible, I understand the idea that you cant just run run pass but man they had to prove they could stop it and they never did.  New england did but Atlanta did not.

oh well.

I would have loved to been a fly on the wall to hear Sean rip Brady.  I wonder what Brady had to say about “cute” plays after Sean said no more “cute” plays last week

Same thing I said all season to the "But Cook doesnt play 3rd down" statements: That's a coaching issue, not a Cook issue.

No but Ty being "The best 3rd down back in the league" last season should be out there & a jet sweep REALLY ?? Come on ... That's definitely on Brady not McD !!!

Seeing as this continues to happen it's apparent either Brady doesn't listen or McDermott isn't really opposed to it

It pure Brady arrogance and stupidity imo

That was a cute, supportive sound bite from Josh, but let's be clear and honest... Ty is not the best 3rd down back in the league. At least not this year/anymore.

It's on both Brady and McD since one is the OC and the other is his boss. And when you are HC, EVERYTHING that happens is either because you order it or allow it.

McD acting like he wasnt in the know and is somehow surprised/upset with it is just as much an indictment on McD.

Bigger issue was just not even running the ball, after it was working. It was a 1-score game. Whether cook or ray or TY, we could have kept running that inside stuff and picking up chunk yards. I actually don’t think they ever stopped us on those runs.

McD ripping Brady a new one is like my wife telling my kids to get off their phones.

Well McD could stand back and watch and do nothing like some folks do or at least say something instead of just standing there and doing nothing !

At least by saying something it shows that he has Terrys back rather than just sitting back watching someone else take charge .

But maybe that's just me ...

Nothing in that article suggests there was ripping or that the conversation resulted in a new one.  Misleading title.

Welcome to headlines in 2025. Everything is a "blast" or "tear" or "evisceration", when it is really like one statement and a conversation.

Do you understand the concept of poetic license?

For Sean, that's like using the F word

Hey Coach, that's probably a conversation you want to have with your OC during the game.

wtf

Haha yep.

Guy wants to be the "CEO" of the team, which is one of the reasons why he hasn't took play calling from Babich yet. But then he doesn't have the awareness to point something out like this during the game?

I am still trying to figure out what McDermott actually does to elevate this team on game day
