Not to mention at a time when the bills were nearing the gap with the chiefs, a guy named creed Humphries who every draft analyst thought for sure was going to the bills, beane takes boogie. And gives the already SB caliber chiefs a top 5 center on a rookie deal. And the bills light that pick on fire. You let the chiefs jump you and take mcduffie, and we get Elam. You TRADE with chiefs and they get worthy, we get keon.

I've been pounding the table for years now, the problem isnt mcD. He isn't an elite coach but hes a good enough coach thats been given a team full of jags outside of allen and maybe 3 other great players. Other than the 13 second debacle, the bills haven't had coaching issues its been a talent acquisition issue.

I gotta believe mcd has a considerable amount of say in who he wants on his d

If we play poorly after bye week, things will get ugly quick.

It seems that our offense and defense is overthinking everything.

Let's put this into perspective...how many of our defense players start on any other team? Same with wrs and te position.

Getting bigger lbs... 225lb lbs ain't working.

Secondary is a mess.

At this point turn the defense loose...bills blitz

Other than Allen there is nothing Beane has done that any GM could do. Even just throwing darts or picking names from a hat for drafts and free agency would yield at least similar results. Especially since the focus seems to be on swing for singles and rarely taking chances. The Von Miller signing is really the only high risk move they’ve made and that did not work out.

Actually, any of us could have a better draft record than Beane, if all we do is when it is our turn to pick, draft the player who is one of the consensus top players left on the draft board.  That means no Elam in round 1, no Coleman at the top of round 2, no Bishop in round 2, no Carter or Bernard in round 3

Absolutely, but its still on the gm to hire people to evaluate talent and make the ultimate decision on draft picks and signings. Watching hard knocks over the years you can tell the coaches have say, but at the end it 100% on the gm to make the pick or signing, they are putting thier name on that decision. Beane cant make a bad pick like elam and say "well mcD liked him so i picked him" its still on beane. With some FA signings im sure the coaches have alot more say especially if they coached that player (Thompson), but the buck always stops at the gm.

Pegula struck gold with McD (in terms of kool-aid drinking PSL buyers & stadium financing, not titles) and as you said, doesn't trust himself to make lightning strike twice.  McD is here to stay.

Edit: McD's tenure in Buffalo will be Tomlinesque.

Or…

1. we just extended McD and Beane

2. McD and Beane just extended all their pet players so we’re already locked into their team

This is all on Beane, his inability to get a #1 WR hurts us more than any shortcomings on our defense. Allen has no one he can rely on down the field, he's handcuffed.

And it will probably end up getting him hit extra

I think the bigger issue is this can’t be fixed in one or two off seasons. Whiffing on top draft picks and paying complimentary B players like their A’s sets franchises back for years.

when you pay your qb 50+ million a year, you have to hit on your draft picks, because you can’t afford to go into free agency and overspend to make up for whiffing.

this has been coming for years. You could see it in the playoffs the last few years. The bills have had the benefit of beating up on a terrible division. Any time they play a good to great qb and wr 1 they get exposed. Any time they play an elite rb they get exposed. This is nothing new.

A big chunk of the issues point to Beane. Sufficient WRs is just the beginning. The lack of talent on this roster is astounding.

It's crazy ppl think the gm just gets random dudes.  Coach is like "we need a de, cb, dt and trash wr, fill it how you like"

Beane's drafting has been awful  Worst part is the standard bar is so low we extend marginal starters and collect overpriced scraps in free agency  Last year was supposed to be a reset year it just come a year later

Looking at the last 5 or 6 drafts, it's even worse than I thought. You should get starters in rounds 1 and 2 and serviceable backups in 3 and 4 and find a gem once in a while later. Beane finds a gem once in a while in the late rounds but the early picks are shockingly bad.

yeah, it's really starting to add up. You can't have so many misses without it affecting the team, ... even with a superstar QB.

He then goes and overpays guys that are solid starters, but not stars

This part at the end is unhinged. Terry isn't reading Two Bills Drive. Think about his kids? WTF? They're adults, I guarantee they're not melting down like you are.

Go touch grass and walk it off. Having an aneurysm online isn't a flex.

He's just venting!

Give the guy a break.

(You got me thinking though,

Just what does Terry do for entertainment 🤔 )

Too bad there isn't a rating system on NFL scouting depts.  I'd bet the Bills are near the bottom.

McD was the one who encouraged Terry to hire Beane.  McD was also the one who hired Frazier, Smiley, Dorsey, Brady, Babich....maybe Sean needs to look in the mirror and do some reflection on his choices.  You're only as good as the assistants you surround yourself with. To say he (they) haven't had coaching issues outside of 13s is disingenuous. This is a failure of both coaching and player personnel.
