i think cover one did a video of benford and how he covered receivers showing is footwork and ablilty to read the receiver.

at the time of the video it was pretty impressive.   last year not one person would have said anything neg about benard.

We all want the SB of course.

The current state of the Bills will be another playoff season.

Beane is just like a lot of GMs, gambling with salary cap decisions. It's not as easy as we fans think.

Now if the Bills stumble and miss the playoffs, ok, clean house.

He's a good GM.  Confident, visible, and makes deals.  Scouting department needs work though.

Stubbornness. We are paying Palmer, Samuel, Moore over $20M this season. Imagine a legit WR in stead of 3 average guys. You cant tell me legit #1, Shakir, Coleman, Shavers, Random guy would not be better than Shakir, Coleman, Palmer, Samuel or Moore (we never dress both it seems), Shavers

Palmer, Samuel Moore are not even "average."  Bills need two legit WR's in addition to Shakir and Coleman.  That would be great!

Beane is overrated and living off of Allen elite talent while handing out huge dollars to fringe players.  He lied to media and fans about replacing Diggs and now teams having caught on to the mediocre group of receivers

This sums Beane up to a T.  He isnt a good evaluator of Talent. You just have to get more out of 1st and 2nd round picks.

Does anyone really believe Pegula is going to fire Beane and/or McDermott going into a brand new stadium next year??

I think we’re stuck with them for at least the next year and a half…

Palmer is good. He hasn’t gotten enough targets.

That fact you think Coleman is good is hilarious. He is the worst receiver on the team and needs to be benched. He sucks.

Coleman hasn't been good. There's no disputing that. But saying he's "the worst receiver on the team" is hyperbole. Tyrell Shavers is not an NFL caliber WR, period. He looks good against Practice Squad CB's and guys who will be on the street after the Pre-Season. But the Pre-Season isn't reality. Elijah Moore has a total of 4 catches for 64 yards. Neither gets open more than Keon Coleman.

I've been seeing so many say he's "the worst" WR on the team. He is not. He's the 3rd or 4th best WR. The issue is he's the 3rd or 4th best WR who was expected to be #1 and he's 3 or 4 on maybe the worst WR core in the NFL. Def not good.

All that said, if they make a trade for someone, bring up Gabe Davis, and send Moore and Shavers packing - then it would be possible Coleman is the worst on the team. But right now, that's cap.

No but if Kim were healthy then the answer might have been different.

ABSOLUTELY. He needs to be released. Peggy has too much money invested in the new playpen.

He overthinks the draft in the early rounds, and fails alot.

He does a great job in the later rounds.

PS Keon has a cool yellow jacket.

Too bad Keon is slower than a cement truck

how is firing Babich and promoting one of two other Babich's a "fresh approach"?  This is how the Bills find their coordinators.

How about they look for someone with actual experience outside of the company?  McD would never allow that now.

I often wonder if a Coordinator of distinction will work with him. Look at 2025 New England. So, we promote yes men. He also needs to knock off with the religion stuff as they dont have his back either.

Beane's crashout on WGR was stupid at the time and looks even more stupid today.

I do also wonder how much control McDermott has over the draft. I think it's more than most coaches.

The downfall on this team is more on Beane than Coach. He has blown so many #1 draft choices that he doesnt warrant his existance here.

The team is 5-2.  That despite tons on injuries affecting the D line, DBs especially safety, DTs, and the WR brought in through free agency to play outside.  So downfall?  Please.

IMO McDermott is the one limiting the offense. It's how defensive coaches think. Limit turnovers and mistakes, and when my defense is on the field I can control what happens using the part of the game I know and love best.

If McDermott demanded a top talent at WR he would have one, simple as that.

Still, all that said, if I had to pick 1 of the two to keep I would keep McDermott and hire a GM that he doesn't know who would report only to the owner. For all the frustrations it can cause, McDermott's schemes and strategies would look a lot better if Elam, Coleman, and Bishop were great players. Not to mention Sanders and Jackson this season (they still could be I suppose).

Other than Josh Allen, Beanes drafts have been historically poor since his arrival here. So have many free agent signings. Most always seem to be injured. So is the word out on Beane that Buffalo is a lazy boy rocking chair, grab some easy money and cash in and out location? Can you name other superstar as most other teams have several on each . Remember 37th draft overall receiver Zay Jones anyone? How about hands of clay Charles Clay who dropped  a sure touchdown. No, we didnt draft him but Beane signed him so his miscues also go beyond the draft. The constant and ongoing drafts of undersized defensive lineman may be on coach McDermott. That would include numbers 50, 57 and 91. Good, but NOT championship caliber.

How about our #1 Elam. Hes just not a bad #1 hes trending to be removed from the league based on his last game with Dallas. Sounds just like his games here. So how did our scouts not see this coming?

"Pass interference on Elam – The Dallas defense was on the verge of making its second key stop late in the fourth quarter and had the Panthers in third-and-7 at their own 17-yard line. But just like the officials had called most of the day, the Cowboys this time were flagged for pass interference on Kaiir Elam. That gave Carolina an extra set of downs, and after a huge fourth-down conversion to receiver Hunter Renfrow, the Panthers were able to run the ball down the Cowboys' throat again to kick the chip-shot field goal for the win."

Then we have Keon Coleman. I cant blame him as he is who he is. The entire league knew about him but Brandon Beane thinks hes Bill Polian

drafting Thurman Thomas. Cement trucks just cant move fast nor will they get faster beyond age 20.

MEMO TO: Terry Pegula. You hired coach. Coach gets a pass. Beane, specifically his scouts are holding back your organization. Fix this sooner rather than later. Think about your kids as they are fans also.

Sadly , you are correct😒 But don't expect anything from clueless Terry.

Why does McDermott get a pass? A new GM will probably want to bring in his own HC rather than be forced to work with McDermott especially if the new GM's philosophy on building a football team doesn't match up well with Sean's.

He should not get a pass

Thats what I would expect but hes on a high note and a new Billion Dollar Play Pen. He needs the cash flow. Terry does understand money and Allen could finally lose his farm boy cool and want out of Buffalo. Look at what a team change did for Matthew Stafford.

I think hes also done after eight years assumming they can get a high profile successful coach. His SuperBowl year was 13 seconds game

Looking at the last 5 or 6 drafts, it's even worse than I thought. You should get starters in rounds 1 and 2 and serviceable backups in 3 and 4 and find a gem once in a while later. Beane finds a gem once in a while in the late rounds but the early picks are shockingly bad.

Actually almost all of his drafts have sucked. Recall Zay Jones at #3, Harry at Nose Tackle.  #3 this year and many many other busts? Nate Peterman

The Keon Coleman pick sums up Brandon Beane perfectly.

The Bills lose their star WR and need desperately to replace Stefon Diggs in the upcoming draft.  With so many potentially good WRs in that class, he absolutely couldn't afford to screw it up.

The correct move would have been to aggressively identify a guy with premium #1 WR potential, and then move up in the draft to ensure getting that guy.  If there wasn't a guy he liked in the draft, he could use that 1st Rounder and other picks as ammo to obtain a veteran option.  Instead, he sits back passively in the late 20's, refusing to part with any of his precious draft picks to move up.  He even trades back with another receiver-needy team, proving that he's got no true conviction on any of the WRs on his board.

If Beane really believed in Coleman, why would he be willing to trade back and risk losing him?  If he values his picks so much, why would he be willing to part with a premium draft selection on a WR he doesn't really believe in?  This is the conundrum that exists when you have a General Manager who drafts for position and is trying to fill-out a roster... as opposed to one who has a special eye for talent.
