He did trade the one 1st Rd pick for Diggs, but we only get 4 years out of that... Sure...It's 4 good years, but Minnesota's going to get a LOT more from Jefferson... One 2nd Rd pick in Coleman... No 3rd Rd picks... One 4th, two 5th's including Shakir, three 6th's, and two 7th's... You're welcome Josh... My goodness. It’s jolting seeing that in writing. 1 4 Quote

zow2 Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Too late this year but the Bills need an entire philosophical change on defense. Schemes and everything. They get pushed around so easily up front and are a read and react D on the back end. That’s not winning football for playoff games. 1 1 Quote

Read and react is especially bad when half your secondary is illiterate. 2 Quote

Walking Tall Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The amount of draft capital and resources spent on this terrible defense irks me. Outstanding QB. Great o-line. Good TE’s. Very good RB’s. Terrible at WR and terrible across the board on defense. 2 Quote

He lied, distracted, blamed and fired coordinators, hired specialists, all to save his beloved scheme. He’s not giving it up. You have to fire him. Edited 4 hours ago by Governor 1 Quote

As per above posts, our drafts have been mostly poor since Allen. It’s not like we have the Ravens roster and are sucking. Agreed though - need a new coach (and GM). Quote
ChronicAndKnuckles Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Watching Pickens balling out and making big boy downfield one handed grabs makes me sick. Seeing him go to the Cowboys for a 3rd rounder and conditional 6th hurts me deep in my soul. I would’ve gave that Keon Coleman pick in a heartbeat for Pickens. There was WR talent to be had in the offseason and he flubbed it per usual. Quote
jahnyc Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Sanders and Max need to be quality starters given the draft capital used to draft them. I have a feeling that Sanders will turn out to be average and with Max I have no idea. Some CB draft picks have stepped in immediately but Max does not seem to be that guy (and I know he got injured and missed most of training camp). Wondering if the will be more McKelvin than Winfield. At this point, I will be surprised if Jackson becomes a quality DE. I know that this post is unfair since we are talking about first year players, two of whom have experienced significant injuries, but just an overall feeling having watched numerous cycles of Bills' draft picks and their performances over the years. Paup 1995MVP Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Where the team stands now at 4-2 and having played pretty mediocre football on the whole for most of the season after almost making the Super Bowl last season is an organizational failure. The team has regressed since the end of last season. And that should not have happened. We obviously needed some additions at WR, and did nothing other than draft a kid in the 7th round as an afterthought. That is stupid on Beane’s part. We needed help on defense and drafted 6 guys. Unfortunately 3 are injured, one has not been given a chance, 1 looks awful and 1 has been a beast. We signed 3 D lineman in free agency, and 1 has looked good, and 2 have been suspended (hopefully they will give the team some juice starting this coming week) My biggest problem besides the lack of talent at WR is that we brought in trash in the secondary besides our rookies. Tre and Dane are not NFL players any longer. And Rapp is a back up period as is Bishop. Either the team has no clue on what starting NFL talent looks like, or they are blindly loyal to guys who were good at one time. But can’t run any longer. Give Hancock a chance. And play Poyer until you can find someone in a trade. The back end is killing us. Also we continue to go with small LB’s who can’t defend the pass and get run over against the run. That will not when you a Super Bowl. The organization really needs to be doing a lot of self evaluating. We will see come next Sunday. And the Panthers are a solid team. We had best be ready. 1 Quote

There was WR talent to be had in the offseason and he flubbed it per usual. Purely as a football player, I saw Pickens as a top half of the 1st Rd talent. You can go back and read what I had to say about him leading up to that Draft. He's the guy I wanted. They took Elam... In my defense I don't have access to all the off-the-field stuff the NFL teams have. All that being said the Bills as they are run now will never consider Pickens IMHO... George is...well...a little nuts... Now... He has teammates, both in Pittsburgh and now in Dallas that love the guy. They really do... He's also super unpredictable, super immature if things are going bad and he's not getting the ball, late to meetings, late to a game once... But then in interviews teammates have said he's not a bad guy as far as general attitude... Some say he's misunderstood, generally a happy guy... Then some Steelers players came out anonymously after the trade and said some pretty negative things about him in general... So far in Dallas, outside of the unsportsmanlike penalties early, it seems to be OK... But again... No way McBeane touch Pickens... Not a chance... 1 Quote
Riverboat Ritchie Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If Bills don’t make a trade and push the chips in this year, we are done. Younger QBs are coming and Pats, Colts and Chiefs all better than we are at this point in season. 1 Quote

We just need to surround him with talent on O and D and get better coaching. Will that happen - probably not. It’s a travesty we haven’t even made it to the SB with Allen. Another wasted QB talent with Buffalo with nothing to show. Im not a nay-sayer, but we’re not getting there with current regime. Everyone has rallied against the folks constantly being pessimists, but you know what - they are right. Quote
In Summary Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Beane didn't need to get us a #1, he just needed a Don Beebe, John Brown, etc. He won't admit he was wrong, yet if it comes down to preserving his job, he will overpay for a receiver. Quote
