There's an interesting possibility.  The worst NFL team:

1. Plays the best college team.  We had plenty of skydivers here saying that Alabama under Saban was better.

2. Banished to the CFL for at least a year.  If they win the Grey Cup, they return to the NFL, and the next worst NFL team replaces them.

It really shortens the field. Teams have points once they cross the 45. Heck, Dallas has an almost guaranteed 3 points once they reach midfield.

I don't know why Fields keeps getting chances as a starter when guys like Mac Jones and Sam Darnold had to go be backups. Fields in his early years showed less than those two, but he keeps getting shots as a starter. I don't know what teams see in him.

I’m not sure either on Fields, but I hope the Jest stick with it for awhile !

It's not the roster. It's ownership. That's the one constant that won't change.

 

And I think Fields gets shots as a starter over guys like Mac and Sam because of his mobility. If someone can make the light go off on Fields as a passer he has a huge upside because of his ability to run the ball as well.

As long as Woody Johnson owns the team, the Jets are gonna be Jests.  The Johnson son who was in charge of the team when his papa was doing his ambassador thing looks like "a chip off the old block", so the Jests fans are doomed to an eternity of ineptitude.

I keep reading about their dangerous roster but when I look at it all I see his Hall and Wilson on offense and Williams and Gardner on D. The rest of it seems to mostly be a bunch of flotsam and jetsam.

they might as well play with leather helmets with fields at qb.  He can not functionally play qb.  He can barely complete simple passes and just invites sacks by standing there like a statue. 

 

At some point he will have to be benched or they will have a mutiny going in the locker room.
