JP51 Posted September 29 Posted September 29 I think they bring Robbins back... for better or worse if our guy is out... I havent heard a report... but props for him sucking it up with a brace on and holding for the FG... Quote
MrEpsYtown Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Was it Ryan Stonehouse who was at the tryout with Johnston? He probably makes sense to bring back for a tryout. 2 Quote

You sir are correct 😂 ZD is a great athlete.. emergency punter in PS and did a nice job. But there are guys who have been doing it for a living ( or are trying). meanwhile I am guessing that ZD has been trying to get back in as a TE 🤷🏻♂️ 1 Quote
The Cincinnati Kid Posted September 29 Posted September 29 Rodrigo Blankenship is kn TikTok smashing FG from 55-64 yards out. I say we call him. Prater could probably hold. Quote

Him along with Matthew Hayball. Stonehouse always had a leg but he got blocked 2x last year and he doesn't have a great net average for as long as his punts go. Quote
BillsShredder83 Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Id like to see us address K and/or P with our late round picks this year. Were a tough team to Crack as a bottom of the roster draft pick. If we can upgrade a majorly important position with essentially a draft flyer level pick, its a no brainer. Its mind boggling how their arent 32 awesome kickers rostered, and overflowing quantities on the shelves in Free Agency! There's 134 FBS teams, and its not uncommon of a kicker to play 15+ years! The math doesn't math to me 1 Quote

Because he has a monster leg and is more athletic than any punter in the league. 17 hours ago, gonzo1105 said: I went back and looked at his averages in College and they were 42 yards on average, not including his net. That’s not gonna get it done in the NFL unless everyone of his punts is getting fair caught Did you miss his 62 yarder ?? He's much stronger now than college Quote
Ayjent Posted September 30 Posted September 30 Johnston’s best plays have come as a special teams public service video for what to avoid doing. His punting hasn’t been very good. Tough guy and I admire the effort after what looked like a pretty gruesome knee injury - but he hasn’t really justified the switch at punter. Quote

I can’t tell if you’re serious or not. You once wanted to trade Mario Williams for John Skelton so this isn’t even your craziest idea. Davidson had some success as a Division 2 punter. There are dozens of guys, more qualified than him to do the job. Obviously the Bills should replace Johnston will the most qualified, and best, guy. Quote

He hasn't but I give him a ton of credit for toughing it out Sunday. Even the original punt where he got hurt.... he knew as he dropped that ball "I'm getting lit up here" and he didn't take his eyes off it and he went through with the kick. Classic stubborn Australian toughness. And coming out to hold (then having to do anything but a routine catch and hold with Reid's struggles) with a torn knee and a brace.... kudos sir. Warrior. 2 Quote
