Daboll needs to make the switch to Dart. Russ is going to get him fired for sure.

I said to my wife last night, "they won't switch because Russ played great last week, but I bet the Giants would win this game with a dynamic player like Dart in the game"

Its too late for Daboll.   Even if he moves to Dart he's getting fired.   Schoen has done some nice things at GM, the defense is fantastic, that said they needed to draft a QB earlier.

If Dart progresses at all over the course of the season, they can both say to ownership "Look, we're on the right track. When we had Josh Allen, his first year had some bumps, but he kept consistently getting better. I see the same trajectory for this kid."

i think dabol and co are gone by week 8, i suspect dart is way to raw to be starting and he'll get burn and it will show.

Honestly, the switch the Winston would be an improvement. 

But I said it in the GDT last night, the Giants issues run much deeper than Russ. That was a poorly coached and poorly prepared team last night. There is way more talent in NJG than they showed. 

Shoen has not been good overall, but he built a lights out defense. I have no issues bringing him back and having him help us bring in a DL.

Thought this was pretty funny in the athletic this morning from giants beat writer Dan Duggan.  Daboll and Schoen are both already fired but Mara has no idea what to do next.  As it turns out Daboll and Schoen had a better team when they arrived and Daniel Jones and the offense played well enough to get them to the wild card.  Once Daboll got settled in and Schoen made changes to the roster they have gotten progressively worse after adding all kinds of high drafted talent and expensive Free agents and trades.  Barring a miracle they are both fired and they know it.  

 

 

The Giants have scored 15 points in their two games against real NFL defenses this season, with a 21-6 season-opening loss to the Commanders sandwiched around the Cowboys aberration. Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo employed the most basic strategy imaginable to stifle the Giants on Sunday.

 

The Chiefs played with two deep safeties on 78.9 percent of the Giants’ snaps, which is the highest rate by any team this season, according to Next Gen Stats. The significant difference from a week ago, when the Cowboys deployed a similar approach, is that the Chiefs’ defensive backs didn’t move like they had cinder blocks attached to their feet.

It is crazy how not bad that roster is now and it feels like Daboll is running them straight into the ground.  Can’t help that Daniel jones is playing well in Indy and saquon has been great in Philly lol 

 

I don’t even know if it’s all on Russ the playcalling is so bad a lot of the times.  They were running the ball well and still looked completely inept

Currently there is really no room for him  The Bills have two assistant GM's in Brian Gaine and Terrance Gray.  So unless one of them gets hired by another team to be the GM I am not sure what role or purpose Schoen would serve here.

 

having said that, Schoen and Beane are pretty tight so I imagine they just create a front office job for him if he wanted to be back.

There is no cap on FO personell and he doesn't need to be AGM. In fact, given how his time with NYG went, AGM would be a wildly generous landing for him. No other team than Buffalo would give him such a title, and even then that is probably too much. 

Matt Bazirgan is currently the Director of College Scouting. They could easily filter Shoen in as Associate Director of College Scouting. Or even as Bazirgans prior title of Senior Personnel Executive. 

Point is, "no room" isn't really a viable excuse. The Bills either want him in house, and they'll bring him in, or they don't want him back.

yea for sure.  Like I said if he wants to come back they can just create a title for him.  Lots of times teams put these guys in the pro personnel department.  Go study tape of nfl players and be ready when we need an evaluation.
