No idea.. but like having the Raptors minority owners it's additional linking of the Bills organization to a huge International city.

This has been the best few years of Bills football in ages, and they own the fandom from Toronto, around the golden horseshoe, through all of WNY and Rochester/Syracuse..   That's a large population of regional fans.

Maybe that’s it.  Sell merch and tickets and drive up ticket demand.

people want to we are a small market, but with it extending into Canada, up to Toronto and over to Rochester, that gives the Bills a population base of almost 12 million people(if not more) to draw from, far larger than some of the "bigger" market teams. 15% of the Bills attendance comes from Canada.

This puts us probably in the top 1/3 of the NFL(easily) in terms of gameday population to draw from and on par with places like Chicago, which is why a lot of the small-market talk is a bunch of nonsense when you actually take a closer look at things and where the attendance comes from.

Might also be to promote the raptors - so mutually beneficial I guess.

Im from Toronto, have seasons at the current and new stadium and go to every game.  It’s an easy commute.

i also have raptors seasons and rarely bump into anyone from Buffalo.  So maybe that is part of it and will come to light later.

And MLSE is owned by the same company that owns the Blue Jays.  So some opportunities there as well.

And Bisons are the Blue Jays farm team...another tie in.

Interestingly, while basketball is popular, I wouldn't say the NBA is overly popular here...and when people are fans, it is usually the Cavs(thanks to LeBron) or the Knicks...same way many are Yankees, Mets and Guardians fans, but not a ton of Blue Jay fans.  Really mostly Yankee and Mets...I was a Mets fan growing up but was in a small minority surrounded by Yankee fans.

It means more money, brand, and growth for the team. It makes sense and seems far more reasonable then what they did prior.

Someone also made the point that if the NFL decides to put an international game in Toronto (not one we give up) and we play that team wouldn't you prefer we go there instead of Europe.

This is a good strategic move.

The more the Bills make money in WNY and Ontario, that reduces the chance some fat cat will move the team when Pegula passes.

Jessica won't let that happen.  After her tennis career is over, she will take over doing what her mother was doing and continue her legacy.

IMO.

Toronto teams don't make much effort to promote here. Also the leagues don't do them any favors. Case in point: why are the Blue Jays blacked out in Buffalo? Same with the Raptors. MLB and NBA need to buy a map and look at it.

I thought it was the other sister, Laura, who is in line?

I can’t figure out why this is good for either team other than having a new channel to sell merchandise in Toronto.

Toronto wants a bills international game with josh

That may be true but could you imagine the public backlash after forcing NY to pay extra taxes for a new stadium only to move a home game to Canada?

Because it's better to associate with Toronto than lets say Erie, PA or Jamestown, NY

She got a small percentage of the Bills.  Everyone thinks it makes he "heir apparent".  I'm not so sure.

Laura is from the 1st marriage.  Have to wait until Jessica is done with tennis to find out for sure.

JPEG, is on the ‘outs’ for ownership, after she published the story about Kim’s true condition. It looks like that Terry prefers strict privacy, for such a delicate matter.

I thought I read that too. Seems pretty harsh.
