Revenge isn't somehow a factor for most of these guys. If you're at work and someone makes a better spreadsheet than you do you remember that the next meeting and really hit that TPS report? Oh, damn, Dan in the warehouse dispatched 3 more trucks than me! I better get more than him today. These guys are already so high strung hyper able to dial it in that the little bit of muster a revenge mindset is does not move the dial much. They've already been through it all in the highs and lows. Ugh. "Revenge" is for the fans who won't get within 20' of these guys. Nothing you've said here is wrong. But there are games you get jacked for more than others. And I think this is one of them for both crews. 1 1 Quote

They'll come in critical moments but that level of intensity is impossible to sustain for more than a few minutes. It'll come on a critical play or at a critical juncture in a race or moment. Or in the last few minutes or seconds of a competition. Thinking about that edge of competitiveness gets me hyped even if I'm far removed. The focus, drive, willpower, and power of those moments is incredible. It's beyond any other feeling in life. 1 1 Quote
Since1981 Posted Sunday at 03:15 PM Posted Sunday at 03:15 PM (edited) Win or lose. This is probably top 3 toughest game. Lose=fires them up, focus. Win=solid benchmark. Man, it will be electric and loud Rooks will be a little struck by this atmosphere. Hope they settle in quickly Edited Sunday at 03:17 PM by Since1981 Quote

It's actually sustainable if you train yourself for it. The secret is not to let it burn out. In football you leave just enough in the tank to get through 60 minutes. It's totally doable. Then you rest. Physically and emotionally so you can do it again next week. Edited Sunday at 03:20 PM by Rockinon Quote

Wrestling is similar to cross country. Don't blow your load early. 9 minutes ago, Goin Breakdown said: And not for nothing... Jackson isn't a thinker, this isn't an insult. He has football in his blood. It's why he's a football player first and a QB second. His talents are supreme and surpass most any athlete. Because of this hybrid ability of atheltics and cerebral quarterback play he is very successful. If he could ever harness his mind to play the position he could be the best ever. 1 1 Quote

Rousseauisnoschmo Posted Sunday at 03:56 PM Posted Sunday at 03:56 PM Ravens come in all jacked up for revenge. Their emotions get the best of them in the sloppiest game they play all season and we win 31-20. Quote
Ya Digg? Posted Sunday at 03:56 PM Posted Sunday at 03:56 PM Honestly my biggest motivation for the Bills to win tonight is for how insufferable this place will be if they lose. This place was unbearable after the preseason games and, the biggest devil of them all, football jerseys. They lose a game that actually counts, and ohhhhh boy 1 Quote

They certainly are going to rely on the two DTs quite a bit, there are rumors that Strong might start at corner, and even if he doesn't start there's a good chance he'll be called on some. On Turf to Tape they were saying that it would make sense to use Hawes quite a bit. I'm excited for this youth infusion. 1 Quote
