Michael Jasper... that size, strength and quickness can't be taught

I have never been more hyped for a 7th round pick than I was for Jasper I thought he could have been the next Pat Williams.

Shane Buechele was the best pre-season QB imo and Zach Davidson come to mind first for me.
Davidson played great in the final game and he is a good backup punter.

Davidson had a torrid pre season. A punt in the final game makes no odds.

I expect Davidson to be back down the line this season if he doesn’t get picked up by another team.  He was probably put on standby.

Davidson needs to go to the PS. The rookie, Knox, knicaid got it locked.

At the same time I like Quinton Morris back to the PS.

Quinton Morris is a Jag...wasnt resigned by the Bills in the past offseason. He was cut this week and is on the Jag's PS

A jag who knows our system and can play multiple roles: RB, TE, and iirc long snapper.

Also a good special reamer.

It will be much more interesting when Hairston and the Suspensions come back.

They're going on tour?!?!?

My gripe is not about a cut but rather one we kept. With Hawes being such a good blocker do we really need to waste a roster sport on Gillam. Many teams don't keep a FB anymore, I would train that kid up for the lead blocker role and then *poof* TE3/FB is one position and we have another roster spot for DE depth (especially after week 6 suspensions are lifted).

I believe Gilliam is one of the Bills core four special teamers which makes him pretty valuable. The ability to fill multiple roles actually saves roster spots.

We didn't know this until about 15 minutes after you posted this, but Buechele is signed to the PS. There was no way that the Bills would carry three QBs on the 53.

And there's no way Mike White was gonna be retained in any capacity.

So you're saying he's a Jag who plays for the Jags?

I was a little disappointed with Davidson, as well. But he lost his spot fair, and square, including on the PS. Maybe he could be a successful #2 TE somewhere? But a #3 TE has to be a stud at blocking, and on ST. Hawes will be both those things, and Kaleki Latu (assuming he is on the PS-- currently not listed) was better as well.

Same. I think he is on the PS (if no one offers him a spot on their 53) before Davidson. While his last preseason game was fine Davidson had a BRUTAL first 2 games.

Bills would have to sign him to the 53 to get him off the Jags' PS.

Nothing shocking.  I am surprised they kept Codrington.

Surprised because you thought someone else was a better P/KR, or surprised they kept a dedicated P/KR?

Jimmy Ciarlo

I think he's going to develop quite well on the PS, and will end up on the 53-- this season, or next.

I am bummed we were not able to cut the entire safety room.

Rapp continues to be one of, if not the most, underrated players on the team.

It all seemed pretty "chalk" to me. I think Dane and Forrest not making it was a mild surprise but given how neither performed that well in the pre-season and camp I wasn't surprised to see Dane on the PS given that McD would like to have some vet depth at CB even if Dane starting or playing is a bad sign it is at least someone who can plug in semi-serviceably (hopefully) very short term if a lot of injuries hit all at once. Forrest I thought could push for a starting spot but he looked like a player who was camp fodder as opposed to someone with some starting NFL experience given the lackluster camp/pre-season he put in still not a shock.

Forrest looked absolutely awful in the preseason!

I've never gotten over Duke Williams 🤣

This offseason/preseason seemed pretty thin on fun, dark horse candidates. Or maybe I'm just getting cynical.

and OL Travis Clayton

He's on the PS. I'm still holding out my dream of him someday playing sixth O-line in a jumbo package, and catching a pass.

Rapp is definitely the top one. I agree there

Bills add DE Andre Jones and CB Jalen Kimber to the practice squad ....... release CB Daequan Hardy.

After spending all last season on the PS, Hardy should have looked much better in the preseason. As it was, he looked utterly lost-- like he had just been introduced to the Bills' defense. Really inexcusable. As athletic as he supposedly is, he's apparently in the wrong sport.

That would be true now, yes. Earlier in the week when I wrote it...no.

Did Cain get any playing time?

🤔... I thought he joined ICE.

He was probably cut because he can’t catch or block.  A fine athlete, but I think he should focus on punting
