Anyone who objects to a potential Gabe Davis signing likely remembers the failed attempts to have him become the Bills' WR2.

But when he was the Bills' WR4? It was awesome.

Dude averaged about 700 yards and 7 TDs a season here right up through 2023. Was good at making plays out of structure when things broke down.

Personally, I'd be all for adding him as a WR4/5. He's not a WR2/3, but the Bills wouldn't be depending on him for that.

Locker room wise, chemistry-with-Allen wise, run blocking, etc....he'd be a good addition.

If we cut Moore and IR Samuel, this makes sense. And I would rather have Davis than either of those guys in their current state.  This gives us a starting group of Shakir, Palmer, Coleman, Shavers and Davis. Davis is a backup and gets vet minimum, if he can pass a physical. I'll take the bad with the good of Davis in a backup role- who else has his upside that is available?

Don’t hate it. He sucked when Josh was trying to force feed him targets but in this Joe Brady offense he can fill that blocking WR role. As a WR4 or 5 he would be a nice addition and most importantly would be dirt cheap. Goes to show the sad state of our WR room as much as that notion gets shouted down sometimes.

He has exactly 1 catch.  I like Shavers 2 but Gabe is a safer bet. He has proof of production.  Shavers has no history of production in pro or college.  Gabe Davis is an indictment on Moore and maybe even Palmer.  Davis is more productive than all of them when healthy.

Yes, I believe he would be the 4 or 5.  Given that, who is a better choice?

We wont draft any, and when we do it's..um, sub-optimal.  But hey next year it'll be 4 safeties and a bunch of tweener DL.  Doubtless there will be several injured C+ WRs in FA that we'll bring in

His failed attempt at wr 2 would have been wr 2 last season by a wide margin and would have led the team in TDs.  I dont understand what some want.  For peanuts he has a larger history of production than every single player on the roster.  And the production came with Allen.  If the Bills signed Davis Gabriel who played for a different team this would be the move of the offseason if they pulled it off.

Why they gotta bring him in for a visit when they know everything about him? If they want to sign him just go it, no sense making it look like they are doing their homework.
Just another  guy they let go who failed on another team. Keep bringing them in, it’s definitely a sure way to get to the Superbowl

Does Gabe play Special Teams?  Shavers will excel at Special Teams. He is running great routes the film shows.  He is consistently getting open deep,and making plays every game.

   You KNOW how I hate to belabor a point but Imagine prioritizing getting Josh a legit, quality receiver.

  Crap like this comes across the wire and it just highlights how pathetic the WR is looking with weeks to go.

   I know, I know, last year wasn’t a rebuild, we scored insane points, we were ALMOST in the SB…..

The last time Gabe was here he had 14 total catches in the final 9 games. Then went to Jax and had 20 in 9 games. That coupled with injuries makes him  unreliable and if you think Beane wants to bring him in at this point with the expectation he would outperform Palmer, yes, it would be alarming.

The best example that sums up what im saying is the eagles game in Ot. Josh throws it deep, Gabe stops his route.  That was a microcosm of their lack of chemistry

I mean if you want to take a shot down the field in 13 personnel............would he be your best player on the current roster to run that route?  His WR4 role was perfect four years ago.
