That score and embarrassing performance IS a reflection on Beane and the coaching staff.

Of course. People will wave it off, but these are professionals and the team looked woefully unprepared to play.

On a positive note, McBeane got to see what these backups look like against NFL starters in a game.  There’s no excuses now to keep the majority of these guys around especially the ones who aren’t rookies.  In the past, they wouldn’t find this out until they were forced to put these guys in big spots after an injury to a starter.

Someone might have gotten injured at the end judging by the emotional reaction.

At least there weren’t any major injuries to players on our 2 deep, but every injury to any player is important & unfortunate.

528 yards to 180.  McDermott needs to put that on his projector and own that.  Even for preseason that just a dumb disparity.

Every year these preseason games go down hill.. Almost as bad as watching paint dry on the wall.. Let’s just start the regular season already…

The CFL game I watched a few nights ago was more entertaining

Hope we’re in the meeting room with Hard Knocks when the show airs. I’d like to see McD ripping into some guys. Since the Bills are drama averse, we probably won’t get that.

How can that be a positive note? They drafted and developed those guys.

Exactly. I’m sure the Bills will be very even tempered and boring about it.  I remember a Hard Knocks a few years ago when Brian Cox was questioning player’s manhoods after watching film sessions of them getting whooped. That was fun.

Correct, and Hard Knocks wasn’t given access to embarrass the club.  so they will maybe show some irritated coaches but nothing that puts the organization in a bad light.

I’ll give the rookies a pass.  Hamlin, Bishop, Dane Jackson, Codrington, and Buffalo Joe were horrendous.  If any of those guys play meaningful snaps on defense, we aren’t sniffing a Super Bowl no matter how good the offense is.
