Oh no! 😪

I loved " Artie Baby Boo Boo" and his shtick. He livened things up and always put an interesting take on things and made me smile and no doubt many others.

Years after he retired, I would run into him at the Buffalo VA Hospital. I would always yell out " Artie Baby BooBoo"!

It immediately brought a big smile to his face. We would then chat and talk current Buffalo sporting events.

Rest in Peace Artie Baby Boo Boo.

And thank you for, being you ❤️

I first met Art Wanderer at the Laffette Hotel down town. Funny corny old guy. Sometimes he would break out in a song while at the bar.

I gotta be me....pretty funny

Makes me long for the days of the Empire Sports Network.

Yup living 150 miles away I never heard of Arty until Empire came around, cracked me up. Mike Robatailles hockey Hotline was great on there

Art was a great entertainer and a real talent on the radio.  It was almost "appointment radio" back in the day.  The bills and sabres were both good and you wanted to hear him air his grievance of the day in his "don't get me started" monologue.  I can recite his entire show theme song.

He was alone on the air, but carried the show so well and was entertaining, playing a character of himself.  All of his little sayings, biases, banning the mentioning of Eric lindros, flipping out when a caller opened with "what's up?", describing himself as a 6' Robert Redford look-alike, playing an angry character... it was gold.  Caller after caller would push his buttons and it was a top performance every day.

Im bummed he passed away.  I thought of him just the other day and couldn't believe he was still kicking.  Just another piece of my younger life gone forever.

RIP Tiny tot on the kilowatt.

Good catch. I'll bet that was Art, as well.

He used to also call John Otto on the overnight show.

One of the sad things about having moved away from Buffalo is that this entire part of the area's culture happened, and ended, and I never knew anything about it.  There was no internet in the years when the Empire Sports Network was broadcasting.  I never heard of Bob Koshinski or Art Wander until now.  It's things like this that make me realize that just following the Bills and Sabres was not all there was going on.
