SoonerBillsFan Posted August 13 Posted August 13 https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/transactions-tre-herndon-bills-fill-safety-need-signing-former-jaguars-starter-releasing-tight-end My guess is the Bishop continued injury plague was the reason. 1 2 Quote
Ben Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I bet we see Hancock starting at safety by mid season. And I think hell keep the job for years 2 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I think it has more to do with they don’t want Hamlin/Hancock/Lewis on the field as much in preseason and want another guy to pair with Forrest late in the preseason games in addition to Bishop and Rapp being limited in games and practice 5 7 Quote

A guy to play snaps so no one else gets hurt imo 3 1 Quote
Fleezoid Posted August 13 Posted August 13 I agree with Sooner.....I believe it's Bishop. McDermott's comments about Bishop in the presser is frustration. If injuries persist, they'll reach a "fed up" point. 1 Quote
JP51 Posted August 13 Posted August 13 TBH I think this was a shot across the bow of Bishop like I get you were cramping etc... but we need people who are here... so... here is this guy... and here also is Bishop at practice.. maybe to conspiricy rabbit hole viewing but I wonder... 1 Quote

I think he is about done. 30 minutes ago, Walking Tall said: Bishop needs to ride off into the sunset with Spector. If he can't get it together this year, I can see McDermott sending him packing. They are getting less and less patient with oft injured players 26 minutes ago, TheBrownBear said: Yes, let's give up on our second round pick because of some minor injuries early in his career. If it keeps him off the field repeatedly, its not minor. There just comes a point we need a roster that is mostly full of healthy players. This guy has had TWO camps out of TWO where he cant come close to fully participating. Sorry but thats a huge red flag./ 4 1 1 Quote

Logic Posted August 13 Posted August 13 Just to be clear, all the griping in this thread is directed toward Bishop, who returned to practice today and practiced in full, right? 2 1 4 Quote

I watched it, and thought he was sending a message. Herndon hasn’t played since 2023. Giants cut him before the season in 2024, Saints sign him to practice squad. Picked up by Colts and released four days ago. Herndon is not the answer, he is a body. 1 1 1 Quote
